🧺 A LITTLE MIDWEEK REALITY CHECK! 🖤

Not every day on the farm is fresh bread, pretty pumpkins, and exciting projects!

Some days it’s mountains of laundry, catching up on housework, and wondering how two people manage to make THIS much of a mess! 😂

After a whirlwind festival weekend, today is all about getting the farmhouse back in order. Nothing fancy, just a little tidying, a few loads of laundry, and taking things at our own pace.

Because even on the mountain, those dirty socks aren’t going to wash themselves! 😂

Tell me, what’s that ONE household chore you absolutely dread doing?

And for the record, folding and putting away laundry is my personal version of hell. Washing it is easy. It's everything AFTER that I have a problem with! 😂

🌿 A SLOW TUESDAY ON THE MOUNTAIN 🖤

After one heck of a weekend at the Fall Festival, we’re taking things a little slower here at B.E.G.M. Farm today!

Most of the unpacking and cleanup is behind us, and our bodies are reminding us that we’re not 20 anymore. 😂

Mark’s got his sights set on hanging more lights in the barn, and I’ve been promoted to supervisor. Whether that project actually happens today remains to be seen! 😂

Sometimes farm life is all hustle and bustle, and sometimes it’s a cup of tea, a little rest, and seeing where the day takes us.

Anyone else having a slow-and-steady kind of Tuesday?

We’re RESTOCKED, the food is HOT, and we’re ready for round TWO!

Yesterday you all nearly cleaned us out, so naturally we went home and cooked some more. Apparently, Mark and I have a problem. 😂

WELLLLL… ABOUT THAT “WHEN IT’S GONE, IT’S GONE” THING… 😂🪓

We lied. 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

You all showed up HUNGRY today, and we couldn’t be more grateful!

The beef sundaes SOLD OUT, the pork was flying, and the homemade chicken pot pie was nearly wiped out!

So naturally, Mark and I decided to go home to the farm and cook some MORE! Because apparently we don’t know when to quit. 😂

We’ll be RESTOCKED and ready for DAY TWO of the Sullivan County Fall Festival tomorrow! 🥩🥔🥣

And that rain in the forecast? Pffft. A little rain isn’t stopping us! ☔😂

After days of cooking, baking, prepping, and probably more dishes than I care to count, Mark and I are ready for a weekend of good food, familiar faces, and a little fun!

IT’S ALMOST SHOWTIME!! 🪓🍂🖤

The 45th Annual Sullivan County Fall Festival is happening THIS WEEKEND, October 10th & 11th, at the Sullivan County Fairgrounds in Forksville!

And guess who’s going to be there?! 😂

Mark and I have been spending our days (and nights!) chopping, cooking, baking, and preparing for the festivities!

We’re bringing some homemade comfort food to keep those bellies full, including:

🍂 Hot Beef & Pork Sundaes

🥣 Homemade Chicken Pot Pie

And a few other fall goodies!

There’s been flour flying, crockpots bubbling, dishes piling up, and probably a few choice words thrown around the kitchen. 😂

But we’re getting there, one pot at a time!

Come enjoy the lumberjack competitions, chainsaw carving, beautiful fall scenery, and all the wonderful vendors coming together for this community tradition!

A little Throwback Thursday! 🍞🖤

"Throwing it WAY back to one of my very first loaves of homemade bread! 🍞"

Funny how life works, isn’t it?

I once set out to learn how to bake a loaf of bread. Just bread. 😂

Somehow, that small curiosity led to running my own bakery, years of cooking and baking, and now a farm stand—plus plenty of time in the kitchen preparing for the Lumberjack Festival!

Apparently, I never learned when to stop. 😂

I wouldn’t trade the journey for anything. Sometimes the smallest beginnings lead to the most unexpected adventures.
