Sheldrake Point Winery is named for the prominent point of land on which it sits, located on the western shore of Cayuga Lake. Operated as an orchard and dairy farm from 1850 to the mid-1980s, the 155-acre lakeshore farm lay fallow until 1997 when a small group of wine enthusiasts organized the purchase of the land and founded the winery. Today, Sheldrake Point Winery continues the agricultural tr

adition with 60 acres of vineyard planted to 10 vitis vinifera varieties, which are used to make approximately 8,500 cases of estate grown, produced, and bottled table and ice wines. Sheldrake Point Winery was twice named New York State Winery of the Year, and has been listed among the Top 100 Wineries by Wine & Spirits magazine in three different years.

September is almost here at Sheldrake Point. 🍇🍷

The vineyard is heavy with fruit, harvest is just around the corner, and you can feel the season beginning to change here on Cayuga Lake.

But we’re not ready to say goodbye to summer just yet.

From the first sip to the last bite, everything came together so beautifully.

Wonderful wine, incredible food, a table set among the vines, and a group of people gathered together to enjoy it all.

This will be one of those nights at Sheldrake Point that we will never forget. 🍷✨

A little love, a little wine, and a whole lot of beautiful memories. 🤍🍷

We’ve been so fortunate to celebrate some truly beautiful weddings here at Sheldrake Point this season. Thank you to our wonderful couples for choosing us as the place to begin your married journey together. It means more to us than you know.

From vows overlooking Cayuga Lake to celebrations among the vines, we love seeing Sheldrake become part of such a special chapter in your story.

A little update on our sweet girl…
We just heard from our local dog authority that she can now officially call Sheldrake home! ❤️🐶

Thank you so much to everyone who shared our posts, reached out, helped search for her family, and offered to give her a home. We were overwhelmed by how many people cared about this beautiful girl.

She certainly didn’t arrive at Sheldrake the way we expected—but apparently, she decided this was where she belonged. 🍇🐾

Welcome home, sweet girl. ❤️

Now we just need to settle on the perfect name…I’m calling her Sadie but she really has become my Shadow..
