First batch of chickens are almost done and moving along with the turkeys! Tonight’s task was cleaning the horse trailer from the chickens and moving turkeys from their brooder to the trailer where they are kept warm and securely locked away from predators.

Turkey noises are just the best 🥰🥰

So many fantastic names were thrown in the pool for this little monster, most popular being Marshmallow!

Marshmallow was my running buddy this morning. Yup, we went right through four fences like they didn’t even exist and ran through three different pastures before she was caught and carried all the way back to the barn. Who needs a gym when little calves provide some great barnyard Olympics!

Needless to say this little trespasser is now in jail for her crimes 🤪

Isn't she just the most stunning gem! Filly (known as Tilly by some 😉) had her first calf today and she is truly impressive. We will be conducting color and DNA testing on her!

She doesn't have a name yet, so we're seeking suggestions from everyone. Any thoughts?!?

Happy 250th Birthday America! We are so grateful to live in the land of the free because of the brave!

Thank you to all people (and animals!) past, present and future whom have, and will, contribute to making this Country the best place on earth!

Everyone meet Iris! She is super small, maybe 30lbs and downright cute! Fourth calf of the year and only 2-3 months behind schedule! Foxy was due for a Spring baby but she decided yesterday, the hottest day of the year so far, was the best timing. Not to mention last year she picked a blizzard to calve! One extreme to the next!

They have been in the barn to keep a little cooler and we have been watching Iris closely to make sure she is nursing well in this heat. They will be going outside tomorrow so hopefully we can catch some zoomies 🥰
