🍓 Strawberry update

We talked to several people last week about the possibility of you pick tomorrow. We lined everyone up to help, and I was going to create a Facebook event for it yesterday, and then the rain started. We got 1-3/4" of rain, which is way more than the 1/4"-1/2" they were calling for. The field is now flooded again, and the strawberries are ruined by the rain again.

By the time the water receeds and the plants recover from the flooding, they will probably have stopped producing, so our berry season is over for this year 🥺😭

We're sorry we couldn't do a you pick this year. We only had 1/3 the amount of plants that we did last year, and the weather was not on our side.

We plan to add another field of berries for next season, so we can have you pick opportunities.

Strawberry season is starting to slow down, but they have recovered from the flooding. We will be at the Johnstown Lifestyle Farmers Market at 1 Phalen Pl, Johnstown, today from 4:30pm-8pm. Stop by and see us and check out all the great vendors!

What a beautiful Saturday morning! If you haven't made it out to the stand (4257 Watkins Rd) yet this morning don't miss out. We still have about 20 qts of fresh picked strawberries and 2 pecks of what should be the end of the rain damaged berries. These pecks are good for jams or freezing.

Also available this morning are a few bags of our leaf lettuce mix and Romain lettuce, as well as bags of our homegrown popcorn.

Here until 1 or when we sell out. Hope to see you soon.

👩🏼‍🌾 Thanks to everyone that came to the Pataskala Farmers Market this evening! It was so nice to see so many familiar faces and meet new people!

🍓 We found some more ripe strawberries. We will have a few pecks of the rain damaged berries and a very limited amount of good ones in quarts for sale at the stand tomorrow at 10am.

🌞 The weather looks more favorable over the next week, so hopefully this will be the last pick of damaged berries.

We will be at the first Pataskala Farmers Market of the season tonight from 4-7. The farmers market is located at the Veteran's Green, 337 S. Main Street, in downtown Pataskala.

We will have lettuce mix, popping corn that we raised on our farm, pecks of rain damaged strawberries and a limited amount of non damaged berries by the quart.
