Some goodbyes are harder than words can express. 💔🐴
With hearts full of tears, we are preparing to say goodbye to one of the gentlest souls to ever walk through our barn. Our sweet Woody.
For some riders, Woody was their very first ride. For others, he was their last. He has carried countless riders, helped build confidence, taught patience, and given so many a safe place to learn, grow, and simply be themselves.
Woody never needed to do anything extraordinary to make an extraordinary difference. He just showed up, day after day, with his gentle heart, endless patience, and willingness to love whoever needed him.
And now, in a beautiful full-circle moment, our beloved teaching horse will have one final opportunity to teach. Woody will be going to Midwestern University, where he will help veterinary students learn, even as we say our final goodbye.
There is something incredibly special about a horse who spent his life teaching others getting to leave one last lesson behind. ❤️
We wish loving these incredible animals didn’t sometimes mean making the hardest decisions for them.
Woody, you will forever be our bestest boy. Thank you for every gentle step, every patient moment, and every life you’ve touched. You have given us more than we could ever give back.
