It's a candy day on the homestead! With sales from the stand, and a current order request, we are out of our delicious sweet treat. Good Morning and Happy Friday! We have an update on our egg pricing! Thanks to our customers for providing so many carton returns, we are removing our $1 carton fee, but please make sure to return them so we don't have to add it back!

It's that wonderful time of year! If we could split summer in half, the second half might rival autumn for the best season. But the nights are dipping into the 50s, and pollinators are working to prepare. Just like humans splitting wood, changing furnace filters, filling fuel oil, to prepare for the cool weather, pollinators do the same prep work in their own way! Bumble bees on touch me nots, butterflies and our own honeybees on the ironweed. All the pollinators need these wildflowers to prep for the winter! So before you may be tempted to pull that goldenrod, queen anne's lace, and ironweed out of your flowerbeds, or mow over that chicory along the road - think about our pollinators, and maybe just let them be for a bee or butterfly, that will much appreciate them!

Meet Brewster the Rooster! He is one of two roosters we have on the homestead. He has a gimp and doesn't have much interest in people. His tail feathers don't look quite as nice now as this picture. Our other rooster looks just like Brewster but no tail feathers, he's the one you have to look out for.

Good Morning! We are back from vacation and resetting back to normal. Farmstand is back open and we can't wait to see you!

Fun fact, we roadtripped out to Maine making stops in Lake George and the White Mountains of New Hampshire on the way. While in Maine, we took a whale watching tour out of Bar Harbor to which we saw a humpback breach not just once, but twice! Was one of the coolest moments of our life! We have lucked out with two amazing whale tours back to back years, last year out of Plymouth, Massachusetts. Highly recommend going on one!

Did our first hive check last night and our youngest finally tried out her suit to join us. Really neat to see comb getting made and filled out. Amazing these little creatures know their jobs and just what to do. Was very cool to see the new comb and that it was basically clear. Our yellow hive is cranking with double the bees and comb as our blue hive. What a fun adventure!

Meet two of our kind boys, Rocky and Big Orange aka Biggie. They are best friends and some of the sweetest boys you'll meet! You might be able to get some pets in with Rocky, he is just shy and might need some coaxing. But Biggie is even more shy and has to be appreciated from afar haha.
