Haley Flats

Haley Flats Haley Flats, LLC is a beef cattle, wheat and milo operation in the Texas Panhandle. We've raised quality grain and livestock here for over a century.

We are proud to raise quality beef for your family as we care for God's creation. Follow our journey. Haley Flats is a family farming and ranching operation in the top of the Texas panhandle. James Haley moved here in a covered wagon from Sedalia, Missouri, looking for land and opportunity at the beginning of the last century. Coming from an area with rolling, rocky topography, he found land in th

e Texas high plains that was broad, open, and flat, and aptly named it Haley Flats. In 1916, he purchased the first 160 acres and began building our operation. In 1919, his wife Fannie and son Wayne joined him. Through feast and famine, the Haley family has continued to care for the land and livestock. Today, Lane, James Haley's great-grandson, continues the family legacy alongside his wife, Molly, and their two children, Charli and Pepper Haley. Together, they raise beef cattle as a part of a holistic regenerative farming system, including wheat, sorghum, and feed cover-crops, striving to replicate the natural systems God created. It is the family's goal to leave the land better than they found it so that it remains productive and that it might be passed on to the next generation to do the same thing. It is Haley Flats' goal to grow the most nutritious food and feed possible while always focusing on our mission to care for God's creation with which we have been entrusted.

Planting forage and cover. Pray for rain. Livestock is sick of eating milo stalks and bindweed.

Finally installing the horse chute in the vet barn. Alex's Welding did a great job building it. It took five men to wrestle the sides into the barn so Alex and Co could put it together. Oughta be stout.

Worked calves today. Vaccines, ear tags and banded the bull calves. Didn't do it the romantic way, but we kept them calm and didn't break our backs.
