Ranch Roots. Public Service. Community Conversations.
While many people know me, Stacey Gambonini, through agriculture and our family ranch, my background and experiences in this community have also been shaped through many years working alongside public safety, local government, and community organizations here in Sonoma County.
Growing up on the south side of Chicago and moving to Sonoma County in 1991 gave me a deep appreciation for strong communities, public service, and the people who dedicate themselves to making local government work every day.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving in several different roles:
• Reserve Community Service Officer with the Petaluma Police Department (1994–2004)
• Public Safety Dispatcher with the Petaluma Police Department (1999–2010)
• Senior Administrative Assistant in the Office of the Chief of Police at the Petaluma Police Department (2023–Current)
• Proud member of the Lakeville Volunteer Fire Department (2014–Current) and current Board President (2019–Current)
• Board Member for the Gold Ridge Fire Protection District (2023–Current), including participation in the Lakeville annexation process and regional fire service discussions
These experiences have given me the opportunity to work closely with city government, county agencies, emergency services, local businesses, and the people who help keep our communities strong every day.
That’s one of the reasons I wanted to host a community conversation with Sylvia Lemus this Friday morning at Gambonini Family Ranch. I believe it’s important for our community to have opportunities to meet, ask questions, share perspectives, and engage in thoughtful local conversations about the future of Sonoma County.
