on it. The hat always seemed to fit his mood – or the occasion – perfectly. But my mind somehow keeps coming back to those hats. People don’t really wear hats much anymore, I suppose. It’s become an affectation or a fashion statement. But in those days, it was something more. That we cared about quality, polish and finish. A subtle, personal signature. From an era when taking the time to do it the right way mattered. I founded Dad’s Hat because I, too, want to do it the right way. To take up a tradition. To make something that mattered. By hand, in small batches. Using only natural, local ingredients and the most careful methods. Dad’s Hat is made right here in Pennsylvania — the birthplace of Rye Whiskey — in honor of my father, who enjoyed rye whiskey and served it at the family’s tavern; and of that wonderful, optimistic time in America’s history when we made a lot of things and took care to make them well. My heart tells me that many of us are searching for that spirit again. I believe Dad’s Hat Rye reflects that same simple, uniquely American personality better than any other whiskey. Crisp. Smooth. Thanks to our friends at Manoff Market Gardens & M2 Cidery LLC for teaming up with Dad's Hat to launch our Single Barrel Apple Brandy at their beautiful cidery in Solebury, Bucks County. We nearly sold out of this limited release at our celebration of USA 250 and America's Founding Fruit - Apples. Apple Cider and Apple Brandy help fuel the American Revolution and we are so pleased partner with the folks at Manoff - turning their delicious cider in to fantastic Apple Brandy.

We waited patiently for 2 1/2 years for this Single Barrel of apple brandy to mature into a delicious sipper. We also love it in our favorite cocktails like the Jack Rose. The extra time in the charred oak barrel has transformed this brandy into a caramel apple experience.

We are very excited to announce our special 250 US Birthday celebration. Dad's Hat has been invited by our good friends at Manoff Market Gardens & M2 Cidery LLC to fete America's tradition of making delicious things to drink from apples at their location in Solebury, PA on Saturday June 27. Dad's Hat will be selling bottles of an exclusive Single Barrel aged Apple Brandy that spent 2 1/2 years in a Dad's Hat Whiskey Barrel. Of course, Manoff's will have their fantastic ciders, and special cocktails featuring our Apple Brandy, too.

The first American apple trees were planted in the Massachusetts Bay Colony in the early 1600s, and by the time the colonies were fighting for their independence, hard cider and apple brandy were being consumed in large quantities. Apple brandy and hard cider helped fuel the American Revolution, as it’s said that John Adams drank hard cider every morning for breakfast. See you there on June 27.

A new addition to our line-up and ready to order from our online store for shipping to Pennsylvania customers. Also available at our Mill Street Tasting Room in Bristol.

The 2026 Bottled in Bond release is a blend of a group of barrels filled in 2019 that together have a wonderfully distinctive flavor profile. When we launch a new Bottled in Bond, we seek to differentiate this blend from our other products. This requires sampling a lot of barrels to find unique and fun flavors that merit our Bottle in Bond label. We can best characterize the 2026 release as Dulce de Leche. A delicious combination of caramel, baking spices, and a creamy luxurious mouth feel remind us of great dulce de leche deserts and cookies, like alfajores.
