Beebs Bees started when Stacey (aka Beebs) became a beekeeper in 2016 after being inspired by a friend. Figuring out how to create the ideal home for bees, manage pests and disease, overwinter bees, harvest honey, and maintain her cool when she gets the occasional sting has had its challenges; though she maintains the idea it's all worth it.

UPDATE: Avery Park Beehive 🐝

Before I went on holiday, the rescued Avery Park hive was struggling. To give them the best chance of success, I combined them with another small hive from my apiary, hoping they would support one another.

After a few weeks of settling in, I’m happy to report they’re now bustling with activity and thriving. It turns out they to are “BETTER TOGETHER.” 😜☘️ City of Dublin, Ohio - Government

Because the colony is working hard to rebuild its strength, they’ll need to keep all of the honey and resources they produce this season. Though, thanks to the incredible interest and support this hive has received from our community, I’d love to pay that kindness forward. Instead of harvesting honey from this colony, I’ll be donating honey from another one of my hives to the Dublin Food Pantry in honor of the Avery Park bees.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone in the neighborhood who has cheered on these little bees. Your interest, encouragement, and care have made this journey so much more meaningful. 🐝💛

Sunday arvo turned into a bee rescue. I couldn’t say no to re-homing this established hive at Avery Park, Dublin, OH Thank you Dublin neighbors and friends that reached out for concern and genuine interest in these bees. They will be well taken care of in their new home at Beebs Bees apiary.
