Paradise Produce Farm Providing the best in natural, sustainable, non-GMO and Chemical free garden plants and produce for over 10 years! Welcome!

We hope you find old fashioned hospitality on this twenty-first century website. Paradise Produce is dedicated to producing the highest quality local food for our discerning customers. We use no chemicals, but instead through mineralization of the soil, balanced nutrition, and careful handling let the natural processes of the earth encourage our crops to yield bountifully. The family farm is disap

pearing with the continuation of industrialization and subsidy-supported agriculture. Inspired farmers have developed a way to promote community supported agriculture, or CSA, shares where customers can directly patronize the people who grow their sustenance. Please also come see us at the farmer’s markets we attend! Other than the fresh food, one of the biggest advantages to buying locally is having a connection with your farmer. Our Page will continue to help you stay in touch with what’s being planted, tended, and harvested during our busy growing season. We look forward to having a great produce season with you!

**Y’all… plant sale day makes our socks roll up and down. 😂🌱**

We have been working toward this day for MONTHS.

And if you’ve tried to find fall vegetable plants around Middle Tennessee, you already know…

**They are HARD to find.**

I see it constantly in gardening groups and local forums:

“Where can I find broccoli plants?”
“Anybody know where to get cabbage starts?”
“Looking for cauliflower!”
“Where are y’all finding fall plants?!”

Meanwhile, we’re over here with a greenhouse full of them thinking, **COME ON DOWN!** 😂

We grow a BIG selection of fall veggie starts because we know not everybody wants to start their fall garden from seed. Sometimes you just want to stick a healthy little plant in the ground and get growing.

And we’ve got plenty to choose from:

🥦 Broccoli
💜 Cauliflower
🥬 Cabbage
🌱 Brussels sprouts
🥬 Kale & Kalettes
🥬 Lettuce
🌿 Arugula & Asian greens
🥕 Beets
💜 Kohlrabi
🧅 Leeks & scallions
🌿 Celery & fennel
🌿 Cilantro, dill, parsley & more herbs
🌸 Echinacea and other goodies

These are **hardened-off, garden-ready transplants** grown right here for Tennessee gardeners.

And TODAY is the day to come get them!

🌱 **PARADISE PRODUCE FARM**
**9 AM–3 PM**

🌱 **FRANKLIN FARMERS MARKET**
**8 AM–12 PM**
farmers market

And if you're in Sango/Clarksville, we'll have fall plants at the **Sango Night Market Monday from 4–8 PM**, too!

The fall garden window doesn't last forever, and neither does our selection.

So if you've been one of those people scrolling the gardening forums wondering where in the world to find fall starts…

**We know a place.** 😉

🍂 **THE FALL PLANT SALE STARTS TOMORROW!** 🌱

If you’re planning a fall garden, tomorrow is the day to come see what we’ve been growing.

The greenhouses are packed with sturdy, hardened-off fall transplants ready to get in the ground — broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, Kalettes, Brussels sprouts, lettuce, arugula, Asian greens, beets, kohlrabi, leeks, herbs and more. 🥦🥬🌱

And we’re making it easy to get your fall plants wherever you are:

🌱 **PARADISE PRODUCE FARM**
**Saturday • 9 AM–3 PM**
Come shop the full plant selection right here at the farm.

🌱 **FRANKLIN FARMERS MARKET**
**Saturday • 8 AM–12 PM**
We’ll have a big selection of fall plants with us in Franklin.

🌱 **SANGO NIGHT MARKET**
**Monday • 4–8 PM**
We’ll be bringing fall plants to Sango, too!

And remember, the plant sale runs for **3 Saturdays**, so if you can’t make it tomorrow, you’ll have two more chances.

But if you already know what you want to grow, I’d come early. The best varieties tend to disappear first. 😉

Fall gardens are one of our favorite things to grow because cooler weather brings out some of the sweetest, most delicious vegetables of the year.

Come see us tomorrow and let’s get your fall garden started! 🍂🥕🥦

🍂 **FALL PLANT SALES START THIS SATURDAY** 🌱

Fall gardening is one of our favorite things to talk people into. 😂

Not because it’s glamorous. It’s because **some of the best vegetables you can grow in Tennessee are cool-weather crops.** Give them a little dirt, sunshine and a good start, and they’ll keep producing while your summer garden is throwing in the towel.

And this weekend, the Paradise Produce greenhouses are opening up for our **Fall Plant Sale!**

We’ve got a BIG lineup this year, including:

🥦 Belstar, Marathon & sprouting broccoli
💜 Purple, Graffiti, Snow Crown & Skywalker cauliflower
🥬 Savoy, green, red & Chinese cabbage
🌱 Brussels sprouts
🥬 Dino, Red Russian, Redbor & curly kale
⭐ Kalettes
🥕 Chioggia, golden & red beets
💜 Purple kohlrabi
🥬 Buttercrunch, Romaine, red leaf, Winter Density, Salanova & baby lettuce mixes
🌿 Arugula, mizuna, mustard, tatsoi & pac choi
🧅 Leeks, green scallions & chives
🥕 Rutabagas
🌿 Cilantro, dill, parsley, celery, fennel, lemon balm, oregano, rosemary, sage & thyme
🌸 And even perennial Echinacea!

These aren't giant, overgrown greenhouse plants that have been babied their whole lives. We grow our transplants **small, sturdy and hardened off for Tennessee weather** so they can get established in your garden without all that transplant shock.

And yes, we put a LOT of thought into what goes into these plants. Our fall varieties are grown from **non-GMO, untreated or organic seed**, and we research the genetics we use.

**THIS SATURDAY + the next 2 Saturdays**

📍 **Paradise Produce Farm**

📍 **Franklin Farmers Market**
Saturdays • **8 AM–12 PM**

Three Saturdays to get that garden planted.

Come pick out your favorites, ask us what to plant when, and let’s get some good Tennessee dirt growing again. 🍂🥦🥕

🌱 THIS is why knowing your farmer matters.🌱

Most people assume that if something says “organic,” it automatically means the seed and genetics behind that plant meet every standard they care about.

But there’s a whole rabbit hole hiding in the seed world that most folks have never heard about.

*Cell fusion.*

Cell fusion (often used to create something called cytoplasmic male sterility) is a breeding technique where plant cells are fused in a laboratory to move traits like male sterility into a crop. It’s commonly used in breeding some hybrid vegetables, especially Brassica crops.

And here's the part that surprises people AND ORGANIC FARMERS:

“Organic” in the U.S. does not automatically mean “cell-fusion-free.”

USDA organic rules have some specific distinctions around allowed cell-fusion techniques , but they have approved many broccoli, cauliflower, and other brassica varieties. Sadly, the popular Haukeri Salad Turnip is among the approved altered.

Meanwhile, European organic farming organizations specifically reject cell-fusion-derived varieties and maintain lists of varieties that are free from this breeding technique.

So yes... *you can buy an organic broccoli transplant and still have no idea how the genetics behind that variety were created.*

And we're not okay with that.

Especially when it comes to the food we're growing for our own families.

🌱 Broccoli
🌱 Cauliflower
🌱 Turnips
🌱 Cabbage and other Brassicas

These are some of the crops where cell-fusion-derived varieties can show up in the seed supply.

So we did the hard part.

We dug through seed catalogs.
We tracked genetics.
We researched breeding history.
We hunted down varieties we could feel good about putting in *your* garden.

Because there's a difference between simply saying “we don't use GMOs” and actually knowing what you're planting.

*Our fall transplants are grown right here on our farm, to organic standards, and we've gone the extra mile to source cell-fusion-free varieties.*

That's a whole lot of work most folks will never see.

But that's exactly the point.

You shouldn't have to become a plant geneticist to feel good about the broccoli you're putting in your garden. 😂

**That's our job.**

So when you buy a plant from us, you're not just buying a broccoli plant.

You're buying the hours of research, the seed sourcing, the growing, the hardening off, the greenhouse work, and a farmer who actually cares enough to know *where that plant came from.*

Because *knowing your farmer matters.*

And having a farmer who knows their genetics?

*That matters, too.* ❤️🌱

🚨 **LAST CALL FOR FALL PLANT PREORDERS!** 🚨

If you’ve been thinking, *“I’ll get around to ordering those fall plants…”*

Well... **this is me hollering from the greenhouse. 😂🌱**

**Fall plant preorders close Wednesday night at 6 PM.**

And there’s a VERY good reason to preorder:

**We don’t ship plants in from somewhere else.**

What we grow is what we sell. So what we have growing right now is **IT for the fall season.** Once they're gone, we're not calling somebody up and having another truckload magically appear. 😆

Preordering means you can:

🌱 Get the varieties you actually want
🌱 Beat the crowds at the plant sales
🌱 Have your fall garden plants tucked away before everybody else realizes it's time to plant broccoli 😂

We’ve got broccoli, lettuce, cauliflower, mustards, bok choy, tat soi, dill, cilantro, beets, scallions and plenty more.

And they're grown right here on our farm to organic standards. ❤️

**Preorders close Wednesday at 6 PM.**

Don't be the person standing at the fall plant sale saying:

*"Y'all wouldn't happen to have any broccoli left, would you?"* 😂🥦

Because we really might not.

👉 **Get your preorder in before Wednesday at 6 PM and beat the crowds!**

🌱 **FALL GARDEN PEOPLE, IT'S ALMOST TIME.** 🌱

And if you've ever tried to find fall garden plants around here, you already know...

Good luck. 😂

Because once the garden centers clear out the summer tomatoes and petunias, you'd think broccoli had been outlawed in Tennessee.

But WE'VE GOT YOU. 🙌

Our fall plants are almost ready, and we're bringing all the good stuff:

🥦 Broccoli
🥬 Lettuce
🤍 Cauliflower
🌱 Mustards
🌿 Dill + cilantro
❤️ Beets
🧅 Scallions
🥬 Tat soi
🥬 Bok choy..and a whole bunch more for the folks who like to grow something a little more interesting than a tomato. 😂

And here's the part we're especially proud of:

These aren't plants we ordered off a truck and stuck on a table.

**We grew these babies ourselves, right here on the farm, using organic standards.** 🌱

So if you're wanting a fall garden that can keep feeding you well into the cooler months, now's the time to get excited.

Fall gardening is one of those little Middle Tennessee secrets. Cool weather. Fewer bugs. Greens that actually LOVE the crisp air. And suddenly you're walking out to the garden in November picking dinner.

It's basically free groceries with a little dirt under your fingernails. 😉

📍 **FALL PLANT SALES**

If you've been waiting for fall plants, **don't wait too long.**

Come get your broccoli before it becomes a rare collectible.

Your future self will thank you. 🥦❤️

Three days. That's it.

If you've been meaning to get your fall and winter garden plants ordered, this is your friendly little nudge before the window closes. 😄

Fall & winter veggie preorders close Wednesday, August 26th.

And we're not talking about a couple sad little lettuce plants and calling it a garden.

We've got all the good stuff for keeping that garden going when summer finally throws in the towel. Broccoli, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, lettuce, kale and plenty more.

Fall gardening around here is kind of like finding an extra $20 in your coat pocket.

Like realizing you already have supper figured out.

Like opening the grocery app in December and remembering, Oh wait!... WE HAVE THAT IN THE GARDEN

It's just plain nice.

🌱 Want to preorder?
You have two pickup options at the farm:

THIS THURSDAY — August 27th
3–6 PM at the farm

THIS SATURDAY — August 29th
9 AM–3 PM at the farm

Ladies and Gentlemen --- By popular request, we shall now go over the appropriate pairings for our fine microgreens. As you discover the multi-dimensional flavors, don't forget too nibble well, savor, and breathe deep. No gargling. 🧐

🥂 The “Champagne” — Sunflower Shoots
Goes with just about everything. Bright, crunchy and easy to love. Try it on your breakfast sandwich.

🍷 The “Cabernet” — Arugula
A little more grown-up and bold. Wonderful with tomato, parmesan, steak and anything Italian.

🌶️ The “Hot Date” — Radish
Peppery and fun. Especially good with creamy things like goat cheese, cream cheese and avocado.

🌮 The “Margarita” — Spicy Mix
Bring on the tacos. This one loves anything with lime, avocado, salsa and a little heat.

🥗 The “Rosé” — Mild Brassica Mix
Light, fresh and easygoing. Lovely on salads, sandwiches and soups when you want a little something extra.

🥚 The “Brunch” — Broccoli
Eggs + avocado + broccoli microgreens = a very good morning.

🥓 The “Everybody Likes It” — Sunflower Shoots
Crunchy, nutty and mild enough that even the microgreen skeptics usually give it a chance. Put it on a BLT and thank me later. 😂

And honestly, microgreens don't need a complicated recipe. A handful on anything you already eat can completely change it. Enjoy!! 😉😋
