People call me low maintenance. And honestlv, I don't see it

Because low maintenance doesn't even begin to cover the chaos I create in my own life

3 hours ago, I found a cow in Florida.
So naturally, now I'm getting ready to drive 18 hours to go get her. Toniqht.

In the middle of a storm that's supposed to dump half of Texas on us.

Most people would probably call that crazy. I call it Thursday

I may be "low maintenance". but I come with one hell of a fuel bill 😂😂

Tag your favorite photographer!

I have the land, the trailer, the mini Highlands, and the decorations! I'm looking for photographers who would like to offer fall and christmas sessions with the highlands.

Located an hour east of Dallas, off 34 directly between Quinlan and Greenville.

I also offer highland cow petting sessions, goat milking 2x a day, and have chickens and rabbits as well. Bring your family out for a photo session to be followed by pets and brushing the animals after ♡

I should have a highland calf due next month, that will be making their debut 🤞

If you’re wondering why we’ve been a little quiet around here… this Texas heat has us all questioning our life choices 🥵

The cows are parked in front of the fans, the goats are over it, and honestly, so am I.

As much as I love sharing the farm with you, animal safety comes first, and 100°+ days are not the time for farm tours. BUT, cooler weather is coming, and when it’s safe and comfortable for the animals, Pint Size Pastures will be opening back up! 🐮🐐🤎

We cannot wait to welcome you back for Highland encounters, goat sessions, and a little taste of farm life.

My single silverudd hen had a surprise waiting for me when I got home from my 4 day getaway... 💚🥚

She laid her very first eggs, and they're absolutely beautiful! Speckled green eggs are one of the reasons I added this breed to my flock, and seeing those first little treasures made coming home even sweeter. I have some BIG plans for project breeding this line 😍

Sometimes the best farm surprises happen when you're not watching. 🌿🐔

No chickens were harmed in the making of this video.

One of the newest members of Pint Size Pastures made a dramatic entrance today! 🐣

This little chick became "shrink wrapped," which happens when the membrane inside the egg dries out and tightens around the chick, making it difficult, and often impossible, for them to hatch on their own.

Normally, I let nature do its thing. I breed for rigor and let survival of the fittest do its thing. But this one was my fault for opening the incubator and dropping the humidity midhatch, so this baby deserved a fighting chance.

It's one of those reminders that when you farm, you're never really off the clock. Early mornings, late nights, and unexpected emergencies don't check your schedule first. Sometimes being a good steward means knowing when to watch, and sometimes it means knowing when to help.

June is National Dairy Month. It's a time to remember there's a real person (and a real animal) behind every drop.

Small scale farmers don't clock out. We're here before sunrise and long after sunset, doing the work that keeps local food alive. If you've ever wondered where goat milk really comes from, come see us. Come feed a baby goat from a bottle. Come pull a stool up and watch what real dairy farming looks like.

To every farmer out there doing the same... we see you. This month and every month. 🤍

Okay, I'm a rancher not a photographer, so excuse the distance discrepancy between the before/after photos..

Miss Ginger is only 8 days fresh, and I just have to brag that shes already consistently been giving just shy of 2 quarts a day. Currently, I'm milking and giving right back to the babies, but over the next 2 weeks I'll be transitioning the babies to whole cows milk so I can start keeping the goats milk for myself.

If you're looking for milk production lines, I have 2 bucklings that will be looking for new pastures!

We welcomed a new little buckling to our farm last night!

He will be with mom for the rest of the day, and then pulled so we can start our milking journey!
Dont worry, he will still he getting mamas milk ♡
