Why Buy Local Eggs?
One of the biggest differences between local eggs and store-bought eggs is time to table.
I had no idea the “fresh” eggs at the grocery store could already be nearly two months old by the time they made it home to your fridge.
Farms can take up to 30 days to pack eggs after they’re laid, and grocery stores can sell them up to 30 days after they’re packed — even the organic, free-range, or pasture-raised ones.
Learning that was one of the reasons we decided to start our own flock, and now we’re so happy we get to share fresh eggs with our community. We collect our farm-fresh eggs daily and take pride in getting them from our farm to your kitchen within just a few days of being laid.
When you buy local, you’re supporting small farms, happier hens, and getting eggs that haven’t spent weeks traveling, sitting in warehouses, or waiting on grocery store shelves.
We restock each week so you can conveniently pick up a dozen — or two — at two of our favorite local stores. Stop in at Elevate Coffee & Decor and Wrae Collective!
