Great tunes, killer sunsets, and the sounds of friendly banter and laughter are a couple of reasons spending summer nights harvesting at The Acres is such a peaceful and enjoyable experience. We’re beyond grateful for the opportunity that has been presented to us, and the outpouring of support has been overwhelming to say the least... We’ve been in full bloom for a couple of weeks, and as our flowers start to slowly fizzle out, it’s a great time to sit back, reflect, and plan for next season. Thank you everyone, your words of encouragement and interest don’t go unnoticed. Keep on keepin on, and don’t forget - life’s a garden, dig it 🤘

First farmers market in the books and it was a great success! We sold almost every bouquet and it was a fun learning experience that we’re excited to continue building on. Thank you to everyone that came out and we look forward to seeing you again this Friday!

We’ve got flowers! Come on out to the Reading Farmer’s Market 4-7 today for a wide variety of arrangements! Big shoutout to my incredible wife for putting all of these together. Not only would I had been up until the wee hours of the morning without her help, but she’s got a way better eye at this than I do.

2026 snapdragons are about wrapped up! We got around 200 usable stems, and about 100 more that will be pressed for frames. The storage is hectic to say the least, but we’re making do with what we have. While we would get plenty of stems in the fall if we chose to keep the plants in the ground, space is at a premium so we’re being ruthless and prepping the beds for some beautiful sunnies🌻 2 of 3 beds prepped and a perfect stopping point to enjoy the pool and maybe gnaw on some plastic horses. It’s easy to look at other farms and wish for more, but I wouldn’t trade a single thing. Comparison is the thief of joy, after all. Happy summer, everybody. Don’t forget to be yourself, and thank you all so much for the support! ☀️

Most midwest garage refrigerators keep racks of Busch Light but ours stores some beautiful stems! Summer is officially here and there’s nothing like a good ole’ fashioned bucket of flowers. There’s plenty more snapdragons to come and I’m very quickly approaching the need for an upgraded storage system!
