Fresh pastured chicken is coming to McGreen Acres Nov 6!

We wanted to offer up a chance to get first dibs on any of our fresh chicken.

Supply is very limited. We have 13 whole birds (about $37 to $46 each) plus wings, thighs, drumsticks, breasts, tenders, and a few packages of organ meats and backs.

Reserve with a $20 deposit that goes toward your purchase. Use the Comments and Special Requests box at checkout to tell us what you want.

Friday, November 6, 5pm to 7pm
Saturday, November 7, 9am to 1pm

Being a farmer is being weather aware. Thanks South Metro Weather for being there!

With Kevin's help we are able to plan to get our broilers under the carport and our seedlings in the garage!

We're back! 🐔

Came home from vacation to great timing: 63 Cornish Cross day old chicks arrived today from Meyer Hatchery, 3 more than the 60 we ordered. We'll take it.

There's nothing like new chick energy. These guys go 100 miles an hour, then just drop and sleep. Give it a few weeks and they'll be out on pasture in our chicken tractors, moved to fresh grass every single day.

We wrote a full breakdown of what the next 8 weeks looks like for these chicks, heat lamp to harvest, and why we believe what goes into an animal is what comes out in your food.

We're stepping away for a bit. The farm stand will be closed September 1–3 and September 7–10 while we take some family vacation time.

During those dates, we won't be fulfilling orders or scheduling farm tours.

Running a family farm means the "family" part has to come first sometimes. We'll be back and stocked up right after, and we appreciate you working around our dates.
