We're stepping away for a bit. The farm stand will be closed September 1–3 and September 7–10 while we take some family vacation time.

During those dates, we won't be fulfilling orders or scheduling farm tours.

Running a family farm means the "family" part has to come first sometimes. We'll be back and stocked up right after, and we appreciate you working around our dates.

Best we can tell someone dumped this little dude off on Westmoreland Rd. One of our neighbors called us asking if it was one of ours. If y'all are wanting to rehome this little dude let us know. He's stinking cute and cuddle size. Smaller than my silkies. He talks a big game around my other roos but he's obviously used to being handled by humans.

It's still hot! But we still are open!

It's clear that having the farm stand closed sends the signal that we are closed, even with signage saying we are here and we have stuff!

So here's what we are doing! We are sticking ice packs in our fridge so that our eggs are availible up at the end of the driveway!🤣 This is because it's the whole reason we closed it in the first place. It's working hard to keep up with the 100+ heat and was failing to do that. Noone wants hot eggs!

We'll keep yall up to date on if this is a sustainable (and safe) pattern or if we are just going to have to keep asking people to call or order online.

Due to the extreme heat, we are shutting the farm stand.

It's not that we don't have product… it's just our little fridge up there can't keep up and the produce we normally keep out will sizzle and go bad very quickly.

We try our best to maintain an accurate online inventory at https://mcgreenacres.com. So figs and eggs are still availible. It's just not self serve.
