Our chickens absolutely LOVE fermented feed!

Fermenting feed is a simple way to add a little variety to the flock’s diet, and it can have some nice benefits too. The soaking and fermentation process can make feed easier to digest, encourage beneficial microbes, and may help chickens get more out of some of the nutrients in their feed. This can help reduce feed costs because the chickens will eat less when eating fermented feed.

A few reasons we like it:
• Chickens usually go crazy for it
• It adds extra moisture to their diet
• Fermentation can help support healthy digestion
• It may improve the availability of certain nutrients
• It can help reduce feed waste because they tend to clean it up so well

Ours act like they’ve been served a five-star meal every time I bring it out. 😂🐓

I decided to candle a few of our Lemon Cuckoo Niederrheiner eggs in our incubator last night and both of them had development at Day 3!! I am going to wait until later this week to do them all, but 2 for 2 on my first set of shipped eggs in the blazing Texas heat is so exciting!!!

This is hands-down one of our favorite things to do as a family! ❤️ There’s just nothing better than loading up the SXSs and hitting the dunes and trails at Little Sahara State Park in Oklahoma. Sand, trails,
family, and a whole lot of fun—these are the days and memories we live for!
