Woke up to 10! With 2 more working at it!
If the last 2 do ok, that means ALL of the eggs I put into lockdown hatched! Incredible!

Unfortunately, the risk you take with shipped eggs is that some don't make it.
Half of these eggs did not develop enough to make it to full chick, including all of the Brahma eggs I ordered. It's not the breeder's fault, since most of them developed to a very small embryo

But, we have Marans and Olive Eggers! And a silver one to boot!

I'm getting so antsy about planting my garden!! I want to get out there!
I always plant my garden around Memorial Day.
Nights are still too unpredictable for frost threat to plant, so here are some tips as we get closer!
My personal favorite is to use my wasted hay from my goats as mulch around my plants. It's a win/win! It keeps the weeds away, and it contains instant fertilizer.
Did you know that goat and rabbit droppings can be used directly in soil? It doesn't need to compost like other manure!

Look what I ordered!!
So excited to be hatching eggs again!

Tans are Partridge Brahmas (Gold, Blue, or Splash coloring)
Browns are French Black/Blue/Splash Marans
Blues are Olive Eggers!

These are from a breeder out in California, Papa's Poultry, that I have had great luck with, and very excited to be introducing more (hopefully) of his birds into the flock!

I also have a wide variety of chicks coming in May, so I planned these to hatch right around when those will be delivered!

What a gorgeous afternoon!
While I clean the goat pen, I like to let them out to graze on the fresh grass, and at least do SOMETHING around here to earn their keep! 🤣
Here's a little peek into what the spring afternoons usually look like around here!
They make it really difficult to stay focused on tasks!

This winter was ROUGH!
I really had every intention on building a website, or landing spot on Etsy, so that all my customers could just order online if they wanted to, but it got away from me.
I am always just a text or message away, and always offer shipping or porch pickup (sometimes even delivery!) but I understand that some people may have anxiety about chatting with me!

LIP BALMS! 💄👄

It has been a few years since these were in my product lineup!
I developed my own proprietary recipe that more people can use without compromising quality or luxuriousness!

All natural, Coconut free, Nut free, and plant based! 🌿

The combination of Babassu Oil, Mango Butter, Candelilla wax, and Jojoba oil feels so nice on the lips without the drying effect of coconut oil!
This first batch is Peppermint, but it's a very light scent with essential oil.
The Candelilla Wax can have an off putting smell, so the Peppermint helps with that!

I can't wait to have these in the lineup (after a bit more R&D with some guinea pig friends 😈) ❤️

Well. This stinks.
The snow collapsed my roof of the chicken run sometime overnight. Thankfully all the chickens were inside the coop, but now some are wandering under the wreckage. It seems stable enough to not collapse anymore, but with another storm looming for next weekend, this will be a much needed repair, quickly.
