Big weekend on the farm — our chicks officially moved from the brooders to fresh pasture! Now they’re busy doing what chickens do best: scratching for bugs, nibbling grass, and enjoying their non‑GMO grain.

Fun fact: it only takes 7–8 weeks for our birds to reach finish weight. They arrive at just one day old, spend their first couple of cozy weeks in temperature‑controlled brooders, and once their feathers come in, they head out to our chicken tractors.

From there, it’s all about fresh air, sunshine, daily pasture moves, and predator protection. It’s a simple system, but it gives them an incredible quality of life — and you can taste the difference.

Holton Livestock Company just delivered fresh refrigerated pasture‑raised non‑GMO eggs and a full lineup of pasture‑raised, non‑GMO, USDA‑inspected vacuum‑sealed chicken — breasts, thighs, wings, drumsticks, ground chicken, and our fan‑favorite cheddar brats, cheddar jalapeño brats, and apple brats.

Our friends at Buckeyevalley Beef Co‑Op and Nethero Farms have their incredible beef and pork stocked up too!
