I tried to put the geese in the chicken yard today. It did not go as planned. They were there 5 minutes at most when I found two had gotten themselves into quite a predicament. 🫣

Remember the eggs I got that traveled around the country for a week before getting to me? Five made it to lock down and we have our first hatchling! Miracles do happen!!

I lost some birds last night/early morning. I forgot to lock everyone up last night and a coyote got to them. 100% my fault and I feel awful. (Although two of my tiny chickens got got and they never roam). We are down 6 or 7… not totally sure because I lost count some time ago. Why do they always wait until they are just about to start laying or are laying well???

Kylo Hen quickly changed my favorite breed of chicken. She is the sweetest little thing! But she’s not a favorite chicken, since we all know what happens if you have a favorite.

I think I’ve finally settled on names. I’m changing a couple to make them all fit together. From top to bottom: Goose Vader, Emperor Pipatine (Pip), Count Quackoo, and Kylo Hen.

My son was so excited when he saw this balloon. He said it was the perfect balloon for me; it was $10 so we took a picture and left it there. 🤪
