For two short weeks, Malachi experienced something most of us take for granted, true mobility and independence, thanks to a Trackchair loan. Those two weeks changed everything.

Now we’re working to make that freedom permanent.

His parents have dedicated more than 30 years to emergency services, spending their lives serving others. Today, we’re asking our community to help serve them.

🌟 Internship Spotlight: Shelby Hasty 🌟

Shelby Hasty is a shining example of how CTE benefits all students—whether their future is in a blue-collar or white-collar career!

Shelby is a concentrator in our PLTW Biomedical Pathway and is currently interning at Atrium Health Anson under the supervision of Jill Lucas and her team. Shelby shares that this opportunity has confirmed her dream of becoming a neurosurgeon. 🧠✨

Jill describes Shelby as a dedicated intern who has taken full advantage of this experience—soaking up every bit of knowledge and making herself an asset to the staff.

Shelby has applied to Wake Forest University and UNC Chapel Hill, and AHS knows that either school will be lucky to have her! 💙💛
