Geez Bees

Geez Bees Geez Bees produces local raw honey in the Uintah Basin. I love bees! Since I started keeping bees in 2015, I have immersed myself in all things beekeeping.

They are fascinating bugs that do some pretty amazing things. We produce some wonderful local raw honey and a few other products from the beeswax such as our Barefoot Bar and Soft Skin Salve. I love talking bees so much that I started a local beekeeping club that meets monthly and I also teach beekeeping classes each year in Feb-March.

Swarm season is early this year. I'm checking hives and trying to head off the swarming impulse before it's too late.

I'm starting to see wasps out and about. Now is the time to reduce the wasp population in your area. In the wasp world, the queens are the only ones that overwinter, so any wasp you see now is most likely a queen. Put out your wasp traps now and you'll catch the queens before they establish new nests and significantly reduce the number of wasps in the summer and fall.
