After driving 46 hours through nine states in four days, we welcomed home five beautiful new heifers tonight.
Rebel, an outstanding silver mini/mid Highland, purchased at an auction put on by Webb Cattle Co Highlands.
Raven, a very unique and striking chondro positive blue roan micro/mini, 6-month-old, from Pandarosa Miniature Ranch.
Margo, a beautiful naturally highlighted chondro positive micro/mini, 6-month-old, also from Pandarosa Miniature Ranch.
Carrots, an awesome one-year-old red heifer from A Peculiar Farm.
Sabrina, an incredible tiny white HighPark from A Peculiar Farm.
Sabrina isn’t featured in any of the videos, but we’ll share better pictures of her and everyone else when we have daylight.
When we began our road trip, we were only expecting to bring home two, but that quickly changed. We were fortunate to pick up a couple more at a great auction put on by Pandarosa Miniature Ranch, and along the way, we added another calf we weren’t planning on, but one we quickly fell in love with.
Big thanks to Pandarosa Miniature Ranch, as well as Webb Cattle Co Highlands and A Peculiar Farm. A special thank you to Webb Cattle Co Highlands. After we unexpectedly decided to purchase a calf from A Peculiar Farm, they were incredibly generous and provided everything we needed to care for that calf on the drive home so we didn’t have to make another stop.
One of the best parts of this industry is the quality of people you meet along the way.
And apologies for all the dust in the last video. Grass is coming—we’re currently working through a drought situation here in Utah and trying to be responsible with how we manage it.
