We just bottled up more of our sweet, golden, delicious, local raw honey at Briarhill Farms, and it’s ready for your table!

There’s plenty to love about honey beyond its sweetness. It contains naturally occurring antioxidants, and a spoonful can help soothe a cough or irritated throat. It’s also delicious stirred into warm tea, drizzled over oatmeal, or spread on a hot biscuit. That last one may require a second biscuit, strictly for quality control!

Buying local means knowing who your honey comes from and supporting the folks caring for the bees right here in your community. We’re thankful for every jar you take home.

WE’RE BACK, Y’ALL, AND SO IS THE FUDGE!

Injuries have kept us away for a few weeks, but Briarhill Farms will be back at the Ruston Farmers Market this Saturday! We’ve missed seeing y’all and are ready to get back to it.

For over two decades, we’ve been making our locally famous Gourmet Goat Milk Fudge. We give it a summer break because Louisiana heat and fudge don’t get along. It’s finally cooled off enough to bring it back!

This Saturday’s fudge flavors:
• Milk Chocolate
• Dark Chocolate
• Chocolate Pecan
• Peanut Butter
• Cookies & Creme
• The fall favorite, Pumpkin Fudge!

Also back at the market this Saturday: SOURDOUGH WAFFLES!!!

Come hungry! We’ll have Pumpkin Muffins, Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins, Pralines, Divinity, Fudge, and plenty more of your favorites:

• Farm-fresh eggs, Honey, Honey Pepper Fusion, and Honey Sticks
• Granola, oat bars, and gluten-free oat bars
• Muffins: Cranberry Orange, Apple Cinnamon, Lemon Poppyseed, Pumpkin, and Pumpkin Cream Cheese
• Pecan pie bars
• Goat milk and specialty soaps, beard oil, beard balm, and foaming face wash\

Saturday is also Lorrie’s birthday! The best gift you could give her? Help her SELL OUT so she doesn’t have to load everything back up at the end of the market! You get the goodies, she gets empty tables and less lifting. That’s a birthday celebration we can all get behind!

We’ll have fresh-baked bread, cinnamon rolls, muffins, fudge, granola, oat bars, local raw honey, honey/pepper fusion, farm-fresh eggs, goat milk soap, beard oil, foaming face wash, and more.

It’s hot. The gardens are finished, and honestly, so are we.

The Briarhill Farms Farm Stand will be closed through August while we catch our breath and begin making the transition into fall and the holiday season at the farm.

We’ll still pop up at the Ruston Farmers Market a few Saturdays during August with honey, soaps, Pepper Honey Fusion, books, and whatever else we can round up. We’ll keep you posted on the dates.

Thank you for showing up, shopping local, and supporting our little farm throughout another unpredictable Louisiana summer. Every purchase, visit, share, and kind word has meant more to us than you probably realize.

Now, somebody point us toward some air-conditioning. We’ll see y’all in September or at the Farmers Market!

Just like that… tomato season waved goodbye.

We appreciate every tomato you bought, every kind word you shared, and every mile you drove to support our little farm. Now we’ll all have to pretend those pale grocery store tomatoes taste the same.

Spoiler alert… They don’t.
