Hey I’m Mallory 🌻
I’m a mental health therapist by day, sourdough baker by night.
I’m also a wife, mom, gardener, chicken tender, goat wrangler and..I’ve lost track of the amount of animals we have at home.

I spend a lot of time helping people slow down, get curious and return to the true version of themselves, which sometimes looks a lot different than what they had come to believe.
And after over a decade of doing so,
reminded myself to do the same.

The Bread Shed was never born to become a booming business but rather to become curious about what it could do.

Turns out, it became a way my kids could learn about making something with our hands and watching it grow. A way for my husband and I to do something together that didn’t involve scrolling on our phone. It became a way for me to have real conversation with my neighbors (I’m a very introverted person, despite my very person facing job lol), and it helped to bring people together over some bread.

I’ve had weeks where I’ve sold 30+ loaves and several dozen cookies and weeks where I’ve sold 5. It’s all the same, I’m having fun. If you’ve been here since the bread in a laundry basket on a chair in my front yard 🫣 thank you!! or if you’re new, welcome! Maybe sourdough isn’t your thing, but maybe the idea of the Bread Shed could help you start getting curious about what is. ✨

What I’ve learned from sourdough is that it needs a good amount of time to be fed, to rest, and to rise slowly to become what it’s meant to be.

I’m taking a slice from its loaf and letting the bread shed rest for the month of July to slow down with my husband and girls.
