End of the 1st trimester (48 days) and DarkSide is already looking quite round. She herself is a quint and had triplets as a first freshener; I'm wondering how closely she's following in her dam's footsteps. 🤔

Pepper (solid black, standing), a soon to be first freshener, was a quad. She is not looking near as round as DarkSide at the same stage of pregnancy.

I'm excited to see what they give us! 🤗

Breeding Season is in full swing at Duckwater Ranch!

We have a small group of does on our breeding lineup this year and our first three does are confirmed pregnant by Old Washoe PK Mclaren Sennna: due the week after Christmas!

Yep, we started early this year and I'm super excited about it! This will be the earliest (or latest?) kidding season we've ever had. I can't wait to see these does back in milk - or in Pepper's case freshening for the first time, and their kids on the ground!

The 4th doe on our list has now been bred and she will be confirmed by blood test in about 3 weeks. Right around the same time our last two does will be moving into the breeding pens with their matches for planned March kids!
