Today’s project: Calendula Salve 🌼

The calendula-infused jojoba oil is finally strained—and look at that beautiful golden color! 😍

It smells fresh and herbal, and today I’m making my very first small test batch of Calendula Salve.

Keeping this one very Shelly:

Calendula-infused jojoba oil + beeswax. That’s it.

Pure & Simple. 💜

And yes… my kitchen currently looks exactly like this. 😂

Look what followed me home. 😂💚

I’ve been keeping my eyes open for a few old, interesting pieces to add some character around the farm, and this vintage wringer washer was just too cool to pass up. 😎

The mint green, the rust, the old wringer — I’m leaving her just the way she is. Eventually she’ll make one heck of a planter. 🌸🌿

Of course, nothing new arrives at Shelly’s Lavender Farm without first passing inspection.

Ms. Ethel, Head of Quality Control, has thoroughly sniffed the merchandise and appears to approve. 😂🐾

A little something sweet from Shelly’s Kitchen. 💜🌿

Lavender Sugar is ready — and check out that cute label! 😂 I may be a little obsessed with it.

Perfect for tea, coffee, baking and sprinkling on your favorite treats.

Coming to my website this week! 💜

Busy Sunday afternoon at Shelly’s Lavender Farm 💜🌿

Some girls want diamonds.
I want $6 cans of spray paint so I can color planters Shelly Style. 😂

Today’s agenda: turning plain metal planters into something a little more me, getting an infusion batch started, and — if history is any indication — being closely supervised by one very nosy Ethel. 👀🐾

Pink and marigold today. Because apparently plain galvanized metal never stood a chance around here. 😂

Don’t worry, my helpers were close by.
They didn’t want paint on them.

Little by little, one project at a time. 💜

Pure & Simple. And occasionally very brightly colored. 😂

🌹 Fall planting at Shelly’s Lavender Farm! 🌹

I decided to get a few roses in the ground today.

Naturally, I was not allowed to do this unsupervised. 😂

Lucy & Ethel handled the initial inspection, Shadow reported for duty, and before long the entire crew had gathered in the shade to make sure I was doing all the actual work correctly. 🐾😂

The roses are planted, the crew is exhausted, and somehow I’m the only one who got dirty.

Typical day on the farm. 💜🌿🌹
