In the process of clearing out, tilling up the dirt and planting more stuff for the bees, we have been collecting all the rocks and stacking them up, they will eventually be used to fill in the holes in the driveway and going towards The Farm. Trying to get most of this done before next week when the heat index is supposed to feel like 103, with whatever I have going on with my heart racing and whatnot and the heat making it worse hasn't been easy, but next week will be a lot worse.

Matthew 7:24-25
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

A finch bird has made a nest and had her babies in our shed for several years now. There are at least three babies in the nest, I told the kids they are adorable even if they do look like bug-eyed Albert Einsteins 😂

Farm kids are just different. They will try to help anyway they can and if they can't do it the normal way, they will find a way to make it happen. We helped family sow some grass and cover it with straw, and the boys helped unload the hay and bring it to us.

Bobby checked the bees yesterday evening, I saw this little one getting some water and had to get a picture.

Thunderstorms rolling in this evening. I have always said after moving down here as a teen from Pennsylvania, there really is no such thing as an ugly day/night around these mountains. Every day is beautiful, even when the weather isn't so beautiful, but so very thankful for the rain. The drought has been rough on our garden.

Some new little faces around the homestead. These baby geese are friendly little things that enjoy getting up close and personal with everything. The boys have named them Honker and Jr (at least for now)

When all the boys get bored around the homestead, they decide to make things go boom 💥 😂
Monday's shenanigans included blowing up a bicycle inner tube as many times as possible, which ended up being around three times.

We never know what we are going to run across, some day it's rattlesnakes, other days it's bears. This time it was a momma and her 3 cubs.

Yesterday evening we had a random rain shower come through as we finished giving water to the animals, while the sun was still out shining. It put a rainbow over the boys Mamaw and Papaws house.

Genesis 9:16 KJV
And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.

When you go for Sunday drives around here, you never know what you're going to come across. This weekend we saw a young bear and this beautifully patterned Rattlesnake. We kept our distance, but got videos and pictures. This one was definitely a lot more defensive than most we have seen, any time I bent down it would curl more. Bobby said he was too defensive for him to play Crocodile Hunter and lay on the ground with 😂
