Andddd that’s a wrap on my first inventory run!!! 🎉

The past 7 months have taught me more than my 7 years in corporate.

Introducing a completely new beverage flavor to the U.S. is not an easy task, but the response and interest from all of you have made this journey worth every step.

And imma keep going till all 340 million Americans know what jamu is and have tasted it 🇮🇩

Today is National Jamu Day in Indonesia

The word “jamu” comes from two ancient Javanese words: jampi (prayer) and usodo (health/healing). Together, they reflect something much deeper than just a drink. Jamu has always been about care, ritual, and the connection between wellbeing and everyday life.

For generations in Indonesia, jamu has been made and shared at home, carried by jamu gendong street vendors, and passed down through family traditions.

Starting Nusa has been my way of honoring that tradition while making it easier for more people here in the US to experience it in their own routines.

Taste of Nusa #6: Javanese Spice Overnight Oats 🥥

A cozy, make-ahead breakfast with rolled oats, coconut, chia seeds, Greek yogurt, and one packet of Nusa Javanese Spice for that warm ginger, turmeric, and spice flavor.

Prep it the night before, top it with more yogurt, granola, and toasted coconut chips in the morning, and you’re good to go.
