A message from the The Butchers Wife💜

Five years. ❤️

This Thursday (October 1), Begleys Butcher Block turns FIVE!

Five years ago, we took a giant leap of faith. We had a three-year-old, I was pregnant with our second, and I walked away from my nursing career to pursue this wild American dream with my husband — opening our very own butcher shop.

If I had known then all of the struggles, sacrifices, long days, sleepless nights, hard decisions, and moments of doubt that would come with this journey… I’m not sure I would have been quite so eager to jump in. 😂

I guess ignorance really is bliss sometimes. And I truly believe the Lord knows what He’s doing when He doesn’t reveal the whole road ahead of us. He gives us enough light for the next step, and somehow, step by step, we’ve made it here.

They say if you make it five years in small business, you’re going to make it. I don’t know if that’s necessarily true, but what I do know is that we are still standing. And reaching this milestone has been anything but rainbows and sprinkles. 🌈✨

This business has built character. It has built stamina. It has deepened our faith. And perhaps most importantly, it has taught me how to be a more supportive, collaborative wife to my husband as we’ve learned how to build something together.

There have been highs and lows, victories and disappointments, moments when we wondered if we were crazy… and plenty of moments when we knew without a doubt that this was exactly where we were supposed to be.

And through it all, we’ve had an incredible community behind us.

To the people of Simpsonville who have walked through our doors, shared our name, brought their friends and families, encouraged us, supported us, prayed for us, and trusted us with your business — thank you. We truly would not be here without you. ❤️

I feel blessed beyond measure to get to work side by side with my husband, raising our family while building something we can be proud of — something that provides for our employees, serves our community, and hopefully leaves something meaningful for our children.
