We'll have our UPICK Honeycrisp apples starting Labor Day weekend, Sept 5-6 from 10am to 2pm. We will NOT be open Monday, Sept 7. We'll likely have some grapes as well. Evergreen Huckleberries and hazelnuts are coming soon.

A big thanks to everyone who joined us for Trucks-n-Tunes last weekend. We generated a sizeable contribution for the Snohomish Food Bank and had fun eating pizza and listening to Uncle Doug! We also launched our puckery Strawberry Rhubarb cider and fancy Frequin Rouge, both of which were very popular.

This Saturday, Aug 29th, from 5-8 pm we'll be hosting our 3rd Trucks-n-Tunes event of the season. We're excited to have Uncle Doug, local legend, and Pompeii Woodfired Pizza!! All our Trucks-n-Tunes events provide an opportunity for our community to support the Snohomish Food Bank and the important work they do, so please remember to bring a donation. We'll have a raffle for people who make a contribution.

UPICK update: We'll have UPICK Akane apples (a Japanese red apple) and Aronia berries this weekend, Sat/Sun 10 am to 2 pm. This will be our last time for Aronia berries.

Riverview Road Cidery update: Wow, the Strawberry Quince-Aid has been popular! We're almost out after 1 weekend! Next up, in the same spirit of collaboration with our neighbors at Swan's Trail Farm, will be Strawberry Rhubarb.

Come on out for a fun weekend of picking, sipping, and live music for a great cause!

UPICK: this weekend, Saturday Aug 22 and Sunday Aug 23 from 10 am to 2pm - aronia berries, Akane apples, and a few blackberries.

Riverview Road Cidery: our Honey Baked Quince was so popular sadly it's now done but this weekend we're introducing Strawberry Quince-Aid. This is a neighborly collaboration with Swan's Trail's strawberries and quince juice we fermented. It's reminiscent of a refreshing strawberry lemonade! Also on tap, is Dab King, a special blend of 2 traditional English cider apples - Dabinette and Kingston Black. Come out and taste these unique ciders!

When customers visit the UPICK or cidery, many people ask, "What's an Aronia berry?" I thought I'd copy and share some nutritional info on them below. We are starting our Aronia berry UPICK the weekend of Aug 15 & 16 and will go for several weeks. Picking will be Sat and Sun from 10 am - 2 pm. Please note that it's a 1/4-mile walk to the patch. Email [email protected] to let us know you're interested. After you've worked hard picking, come to the cidery to enjoy the berries reinvented in our cider! It's a refreshing, earthy cherry elixir we call Super Cider!

Nutritional Highlights

Studies show Aronia berries may have one of the highest ORAC scores (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) among berries—meaning they’re extremely effective at neutralizing free radicals.

Health Benefits of Aronia Berries

1. Powerful Antioxidant Protection

Thanks to high levels of anthocyanins and polyphenols, Aronia berries help fight oxidative stress, a major contributor to aging and chronic diseases.

2. Heart Health

Research suggests Aronia may help reduce blood pressure, lower LDL (bad) cholesterol, and improve overall cardiovascular health. This is likely due to their anti-inflammatory and vasodilatory effects.

3. Immune System Boost

With their high vitamin C content and antioxidant compounds, Aronia berries may help support immune function and protect against infections.

4. Anti-Inflammatory Effects

Chronic inflammation is linked to a range of illnesses, from arthritis to cancer. The polyphenols in Aronia have shown anti-inflammatory properties in several studies.

5. Blood Sugar Control

Some early research indicates Aronia extract may help improve insulin sensitivity and regulate blood sugar—good news for people managing type 2 diabetes.

To our surprise, with the heat and lack of rain, our early apple, William's Pride, is ready for UPICK. So this weekend we'll be open on Saturday the 8th and Sunday the 9th from 10 am - 2 pm for picking these specific apples, our Triple Crown blackberies, and figs.

Tonight at the cidery, we'll host a card-making art event to support families going through cancer. It's a ticketed event through Snohomish Art Community. It is free and will start at 6:30 pm. It's our 2nd year participating, and we had so much fun last year. Come on out for a great cause!

Lastly, a big shout-out to Snohomish's Sound 2 Summit for having Nick and me do a cider tasting. We sold out of cider and got great feedback from customers.

We're really loving being part of this amazing Snohomish community!!

We're excited to be featured at Sound to Summit (Snohomish location) Wednesday, Aug 5th @ 5pm. We'll be pouring our Semi-Sweet, which we renamed "Happy Orchard", Aronia berry, Flight of the Concord (Concord grape), and Frequin Rouge. It will be a fun evening of tasting cider and hearing about our process. Hope to see you there!

This weekend we will be offering our Triple Crown thornless blackberries to a small group of customers. The blackberries are beginning to turn and are yummy sweet! We'll be taking reservations only, so please reach out to Melissa at 206-724-5303 or email [email protected]. We'll only be doing UPICK blackberries on Saturday, Aug 1st from 10 am to 2 pm, then the next few weekends. Figs and Aronia berries will be happening later in the month. Stay tuned here.

Thanks to another wonderful Trucks-n-Tunes last weekend, we love the music of Erin and Zach, and Brat Bros never disappoints. The cidery has had a steady flow of neighbors, regular customers, and random folks who stumble upon us. Our Honey Baked Quince is our new offering and has been popular. Next week (Wed Aug 5th@5-8pm) we'll be guests at Sound 2 Summit in Snohomish doing a tasting and explaining our process. They've been great supporters of our product and we've been featuring some of their beers, as well, at the cidery. Come on out to the farm in August and sip cider in the sun!

Super excited about our upcoming Trucks-n-Tunes this Saturday, July 25th, from 5-8pm. We'll be hosting Erin McNamee and Zach Michaud, along with food from Brat Bros. Both of these groups were here last year, and customers loved them! Come join us at the cidery and bring something for the Snohomish Food Bank. Let's support this amazing community together!
