What amazingly cool and crisp last couple of mornings we have had up here in the highlands of SE Idaho. Fog rising and drifting along the river, leaves turning yellow, complete stillness in the air. Perfect view with a hot cup of coffee in hand watching the sun rise. Today will be more winter prep, putting up firewood, filling the potato cellar (now that it has a brand new lid), and setting up a new wood stove in the office building project.

Just caught frost on our little wooden bridge, not on the cars or anywhere else, but it gave me the chills touching it.... brrr, winter is coming!

Been too busy to post on our page lately lol. It's plant season so we've been busy taking care of plants, selling and delivering them. We sold our bull and he went to his new home, which was bittersweet. His new owners just love him and he's been a great addition to their farm. And we just added a couple new critters to the farm last week. Our middle kiddo has wanted a horse soo bad, so we started looking for one for him. The first horse we looked at I was pretty sure she wasn't the horse for him, and I was right she is a project horse. She knows things, but has had minimal human contact for about a year and was wild eyed and is very pregnant (they dont know how far along). But I fell in love with her and my husband said lets get her! 🥰 My husband is the best, such a lucky lady 😊💗 couple days later we went and looked at another horse who is in her late teens and she was perfect for him! She just needs some ground work and some fine tuning. You can ride her and she has some get up and go, and is a bit pushy. But she doesn't buck or kick 🙌 My wild horse (Arayis) once she got home lost her wild eye and come up to you and now like attention and has been an absolute dream to work with and is very respectful 😁 and my kiddos horse (Lozen named after a famous female Apache Warrior) is improving and will make a fantastic kid horse once she learns more respect on the ground, but she is super sweet. I love working with horse using natural horsemanship/Clinton Anderson method. Cant wait to watch everyone grow together and the adventures to come! 😁💗
Ps our son made his mark on his horse 😆💗

Elderberry, Black, or common. The current botanical name is Sambucus nigra ssp. candensis, but this is the same US native black elderberry known as Sambucus candensis. z3-8. This is the straight species, not a named variety, native to much of the US. Elderberries have been my biggest seller for the past several years. Syrup made from the berries is known for immune-boosting qualities. Also, most people know the plant from the past, but do not often see it now growing wild. Also makes a delicious jelly.
