Week in review… so much happens around here I have to look back at my photos to remember all that happens in a week. The girls have 1 more half day of school on Monday and then SUMMER!!!

1. Sun bow
2. A full week of treating a young beefie for pinkeye
3. Trying (unsuccessfully) to save a baby cowbird
4 & 5. Dusk and fireflies
6. After dinner walk
7. Smokebush in all its glory
8. 100 baby chicks arrived in the mail Thursday morning
9. So much string trimming. Gotta keep those fences hot!
10. Farmer hiding from the rain (we moved the young herd of cattle to a satellite pasture).
11. Overnight with besties in South Portland
12. Before 9am popsicle stand (of course!)
13. Cousin time!
14. Supporting the newly reimagined Replenova market: Full Hearts Farm Store’s grand opening
15. Loving the light this gourd lamp throws ❤️in the Crow’s Nest Tiny House

And it’s been fun to read about many fabulous women in Ag on the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry page this year. ❤️

Piggies out on pasture!

For half the year our pigs enjoy life on pasture. As soon as trains them to electric fence (that’s all that keeps them where they belong) we trailer them over to the pig pasture.

“Best animal life with one bad day” is how we raise our meat animals.

New Product Alert! Monica from SuperMutz dropped off some pup approved dog treats at the Farm Store today. With only 3 ingredients these dog biscuits are simple and delicious.

We have a bunch of customers who come for dog bones and liver for their doggos. Some shelf stable dog treats are the perfect addition for pocket treats. Bonus: the packaging is 100% compostable!

Potluck Pig Roast will be here again in a heartbeat, Saturday, July 11.

The highlight of summer in Durham, Maine. Bring a dish, bring a friend, hang out and listen to live music, chat with new friends by the grill where we’ve roasted a whole hog and 15 chickens.

2 inch thick bone-in ribeyes? OMG!
They ain’t cheap, but judging by how a customer’s eyes last week lit up as he held the one he was buying, they’re worth it.

Maine Forest Yurts is just a hop skip and a jump down the road and such great neighbors

After guests leave the yurt, the first thing we do is check to see if they’ve signed the journal. We love reading what guests have to say about their time at the yurt and it’s especially fun when they include neighbor-friends in their entry! Check out Old Crow Ranch!
