San Francisco W**e School strives to open the world of w**e and other beverages to professionals and enthusiasts everywhere. We help people of all levels break into the w**e industry, advance their career, or simply pursue their passions. Founded by Master Sommelier David Glancy, we're the largest w**e school in the country, offering the most thoughtful approach to w**e. Our venue is available for

rent and our themed private receptions, tastings, team building activities and dining experiences "edutain" all interests. Tasting kits can be delivered across the U.S. Memberships are available but not required. We're LGBTQIA+ friendly and a Snob Free Zone.

You’ll see him regularly working in our Secret W**e Bar and at special events. Behind the scenes, he works hard to keep our operations running smoothly every week.

🍷 Favorite w**e right now: Plot twist...it’s tequila! Tapatio Excelencia Extra Añejo, an additive-free tequila crafted by Master Distiller Carlos Camarena.

🌎 Dream w**e destination: Back to the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, to visit the Camarena family’s distilleries, drink great tequila with friends, and eat “the best carnitas in the Universe”.

🥂 Favorite part of working at SFWS: The people! Connecting with coworkers, students, and w**e enthusiasts while creating memorable experiences together.

🎉 Most memorable experience: A 2,000+ mile motorcycle trek through Jalisco in 2024, exploring remote regions, making lifelong friends, enjoying incredible food, and tasting legendary spirits along the way. 🏍️💨

This fall, Vines & Voices, a three-part speaker series presented by Women For W**eSense, brings w**emakers to San Francisco W**e School for guided tastings, candid conversations, and a closer look at the people and practices behind small-production w**es.

First up on September 10, join w**emaker Julie Lumgair of Art Nouveau W**e. “From boots, to suits, and back to boots again” sums up Julie’s journey from a fifth-generation East Tennessee farmer to an award-winning consulting and luxury-tier w**emaker, with experience as a GM in both the w**e industry and the Fortune 100.
