St. John the Baptist held the first Las Vegas Greek Food Festival on March 23, 1973 at the Stardust Hotel. Since then, we've gained greatly appreciated support from friends, neighbors, and visitors which sprang us into the spotlight as one of Las Vegas's best food festival events.

Today, a church service will be held at 2:30 to pray for and honor all who have suffered as a result of the events on 09-11-2001.

At the base of the world trade center stood a Greek Orthodox Church, St. Nicholas. Over the past years the church has been rebuilt and while still a functioning Greek Orthodox Church, is also a shrine in which anyone may visit to pay their respects at ground zero. Last night, the surrounding area was blacked out, while the shrine was light up like a beacon of hope and resilience. To read more:

Today we relive a somber day in American history. The Las Vegas Greek Food Festival extends our condolences to the families who lost friends, family members and partners on and after the day of the attacks. We also extend our gratitude and most sincere thanks to the first responders on and around ground zero. This day has reminded us of the foundation of American values and the true sense of the word, community. Αιώνια μνήμη, Enternal Memory. 🇺🇸 🇬🇷
