I handed Miss R three buckets of flowers, three vases, and one very important assignment- make whatever your heart desires 🌸🌺🌼

And boy did she deliver- quite the budding floral artist at just 4 years old!

She even added a little bling to one of the vases ✨

When I tried to whisk away a few flowers with brown edges, she stopped me and said, “I love those. I still want them”

May we all keep a little of that 4 year old magic- the kind that notices beauty right alongside imperfections. ❤️

🌿 Season Closure Announcement 🌿

The Stonehurst Farmstand is officially closed for the season.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who stopped by, bought eggs, picked up our homemade jam and vanilla, supported local makers, and left us such kind notes along the way. Your support means so much to our little farmstand.

Before we fully wrap up the season, we have one last event — and we would love to see you there at Homestead Market on Creek

I bought FOUR beautiful milkweed plants with dreams of helping the monarchs… only to have the plants immediately become an aphid buffet. 🤦‍♀️🌿

Now there’s exactly ONE pitiful milkweed plant left, and apparently this little monarch caterpillar has decided, “Yep, this one will do.” 😂🐛

So here we are… me trying to save the milkweed, the aphids trying to take over the milkweed, and this hungry little guy just doing his part to turn into a butterfly. 🦋

Grow, little buddy, GROW! We’re rooting for you! 💚

🌿 Be honest… who else has planted milkweed for the butterflies, only to discover they’ve also planted an all-you-can-eat aphid restaurant?! 😂

Fun pumpkin fact! 🎃

Did you know pumpkin plants make both male and female blossoms?

The male flowers usually show up first- and there are a lot more of them!

Once bees and other pollinators move pollen from the male blossoms to the female blossoms, that’s when the magic happens… and a pumpkin starts growing. Nature is pretty amazing 🐝🎃
