The Hancock Tomato Harvest ain’t over yet, in fact Matthew says our tomato crop this year is producing crazy 🍅🍅🍅

We have lots and lots of Red River, Cherokee and Abigail Pink tomatoes starting out the week. We will have $15 boxes of canning tomatoes available today only.

We’re stocked up and ready as we head into September, let’s make it the best one yet.

🍦The temperatures are going to be warm so make sure to stop by for a cool down with some soft serve ice cream this week. And you folks driving big trucks, hauling big rigs and tractors, the lots across the street by our barn have plenty of room for you to roll in and out with ease so don’t be a stranger.🍦

PS: Some fall squash was also picked Saturday! Stay tuned cause the Autumn harvest is coming, get ready.

🥬🍅🍑🥒🧅🧄🫑🍠🥔The weekend is upon us and our produce selection is piled high!

August has almost come to an end and help us send off this last official month of summer with a big thank you!

🍅 We’re picking tomatoes and have lots of beautiful Hancock grown zucchini, yellow squash, cucumbers, Lee’s candy onions and peppers. 🫑

Our freezers are stocked with plenty of local protein options like steaks, ground beef, chicken breasts and other cuts, lots of pork options and our beautifully cut bacon.🥩🐓🐖

Our coolers are ready with local eggs 🥚 and dairy too! 🥛🧀

🍯 Allergy season has started for some folks so don’t forget to grab some local honey. We’ve got elderberry syrups too.

It’s going to be sunny and the ice cream is flowing! 🍦

🚨Restock Update. 🐓Our Amish Air-Chilled Poultry is back in stock staying cool in the freezer. We’ve got whole chickens, boneless breasts, thighs, drumsticks and also the lean ground chicken as well. Thanks for your patience, as we source from our local friends at Miller Amish Country Poultry things take a little longer to ensure quality.

🍑The last of the peaches are in, the store is stocked with Hancock grown and responsibly sourced goods as well.

🌅 Last night’s sunset was a beauty over our market in Springfield, Tennessee and we even noticed a few leaves hitting the ground with that cooler morning we had yesterday as well.🍂

🍅 Tomatoes are coming in today and we’ll have plenty of 🧅Lee’s candy onions, 🥒cucumbers and more yellow and zucchini squash.

We’ve sourced some beautiful melons and have lots of beautiful potatoes, sweet potatoes and other produce to fill you up!

In our dairy cases we have local 🥚eggs, 🧀 cheeses and 🥛JD Milk in the glass jar.

🍦The soft serve is flowing!

We’re a little late sharing this but we were humbled to have our Farmstand at the Nashville Farmers’ Market included in The Tennessean’s article about More Shoppers Heading to Farmers Markets. We work hard to grow and source the very best for our customers. Knowing where your food comes from is more important now that it ever has been it seems.

Updates:

🌽 For the most part, corn is finished for us this season. But there’s a chance we could have some peaches and cream for the weekend from a trusted source. Stay tuned.

🍑 Our Hancock grown peaches have all been picked for the season. When they are gone, that is it for this season. We expect for them to be sold out by tomorrow.

🍅 We continue picking tomatoes this Monday so be patient as y’all bought us out this weekend.

🥒 We have plenty of yellow squash, cucumbers, zucchini watermelon, cantaloupe and muscadines.

🙏 Thanks again y’all for your support, September is almost here and we’ve got a big Fall Harvest on the way so get ready! But for now we still focus on this summer’s blessed harvest season.

🍑 It’s hard to believe, but today and tomorrow are most likely the last days to grab some of our Hancock grown freestone peaches as our orchards have outperformed but are coming to the end of their season. In addition, our blackberry season has finished for another year and thank you for all of your kind words, photos and stories you’ve shared with us about how you’ve enjoyed and put them to use! It’s time for the blackberry canes to rest for another season to come.

🍎🍏But never to worry, apple season is almost here and we’ve sourced some excellent apples once again from our friends up north. We will keep you updated on this as Fall is just one month away.

The weekend is here and the forecast is ☀️ sunshine and we’re still harvesting our summer squash, tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers as well as our Peaches and Cream bi-colored corn.🌽

It’s the perfect time to make your weekend plans and stop by our farm stand at the Nashville Farmers’ Market or our country market in Springfield to load up on lots of great produce, local eggs and dairy and our canned goods to get your pantries stocked up for fall and winter.

Amish baked goods arrive today and another fresh batch of Amazin’ Glazin’ Tennessee Fried Pies as well at our market in Springfield.

🚜 Farm Update: This aerial view gives a snapshot of the current state of part of our crops. From fields of Peaches and Cream bicolored corn to our high tunnels with tomatoes, cucumbers, summer squash and peppers. There are other fields with more tomatoes, summer squash and pumpkins that are currently developing as well. And in the distance our blackberry and peach orchards, which are still producing our last variety of freestone peach and tasty blackberries. To keep a long harvest we stagger the planting of our crops so they come in steady over the long haul of summer.

What’s great about our crops is that we get to offer them not only at our market in Springfield and at our Farmstand at the Nashville Farmers' Market but also in a lot of the canned goods we offer too. From our canned tomatoes, spicy tomato juice, pie fillings and jams, pizza sauce, spaghetti sauce, salsas and ripe tomato chow chow- jalapeno peach jam as well. All to stock up your pantry right.

Working this land for over a century has been a blessing and we are grateful that we can share it with you from our family farm to your family’s table.

🚨You folks have been waiting and we are excited to share that some of favorite items have been restocked- all from our peaches and red river tomatoes! It’s been tough waiting all season for our:

🫙🍅tomato and spicy tomato juice
🫙🍅pizza sauce, spaghetti sauce
🫙🍅ripe tomato chow chow
🫙🍑 jalapeño peach jam

so stop on by and grab some while supplies last!

☀️The heat is on and so is that Hancock harvest so don’t be a stranger. We’re still bringing in lots of Hancock grown goods for you. From our 🍑freestone peaches, summer squash, 🥒cucumbers and peppers, Lee’s Candy Onions 🧅 to more of our 🍅 tomatoes in a variety of colors and sizes!

🚨This is just a reminder to hold your horses- we still have Harvest Season and summer to enjoy. Autumn isn’t here until September 22nd. ☀️☺️

Today we have lots of freshly picked:

🍑Tree-ripened peaches

🌽Peaches and cream corn. We just started picking the last crop of peaches and cream today.

💥Blackberries still available. Somehow they just keep coming 🤪

🍅Hancock tomatoes. People keep asking if our tomatoes are finished. The answer is NO! We are now onto our second field picking and Matthew does a great job staggering our crops so they keep coming for a long and steady harvest.

🥒Hancock cucumbers, zucchini, yellow squash! Okra. So much good food to share with your friends and family from our farm to your table.

🍦95 degree weather may require an ice cream or two for a cool down.

PS: So keep on canning and puttin’ things up in the freezer for later in the year when ya need it. It’s still a cornucopia out here and we look forward to sharing it with you! 😉
