A pepino melon (bottom), Kiwano (top), prickly pears (bright pink right side) were on the found-at-the-grocery-store testing menu this evening. We started this years ago when the girls were being picky eaters and I told them we’d buy all the weird things because you never known we haven’t found anything “new” in a minute.

The prickly pear tastes like bubble gum.
Kiwano was like a very seedy citrus fruit.
A pepino melon tastes like a potato, pear, and apple had a baby.
