In case you missed it—there’s a new Cheese & Cake baby about to be born 🤍 As we prepare for her arrival and begin maternity leave, we wanted to update you on availability.

A couple things to add in addition to the details on the infographic:

* Always feel free to reach out and check to see if we can accommodate you. There are sometimes circumstances that allow us to complete things even with less than standard notice, and alternatively sometimes even adequate notice still does not mean we have availability—particularly during holidays.

* We started this as a side business to allow us an opportunity to express our creativity and serve our community, but we both have full time jobs and 3 children to care for. Family is a huge priority for us and we love that our customers have always been so receptive to that.

* We utilize a shared commercial kitchen so we coordinate how many orders we can take based on our access to the kitchen. This works for us, but does affect how many orders we can feasibly accept.

* Thank you for supporting us and referring friends and family. We have learned so much from you!

One of our goals with starting a side business was flexibility. As two full time working moms with multiple children, we wanted something that would allow us to supplement income and explore our creativity without becoming overbearing for our families.

Part of that flexibility is the convenience of only being able to take on what we can handle, and we needed to utilize that advantage recently. You may have noticed we have been quiet this summer. Between promotions, a pregnancy, and prioritizing family this summer, we haven’t done pop-ups, farmers markets, and haven’t accepted a lot of orders or even offered pre-made products to sell.

We are grateful to our friends and family for letting us keep our skills sharp (and pictures pretty) for all the family picnics and parties this year, but we are excited to get back to more routine orders and offerings soon.

That being said, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re interested in custom orders as we expect fall and winter to be our busy time!
