Honey can taste wildly different depending on where it comes from and what was blooming when the bees made it. But when different harvests are blended and heavily processed, those differences disappear. That’s a big part of the honey story that rarely gets told, and exactly why we’re so obsessive about keeping every harvest separate.

A quick public service announcement:

If you’ve ever ordered honey from us, you’ve probably noticed the packing peanuts.

No, they’re not Styrofoam. We only use biodegradable packing peanuts, typically made from potato starch. Aside from the small amount of bubble wrap needed to keep glass jars from becoming a very sticky delivery-day tragedy, our packaging is recyclable or biodegradable — including our recycled kraft cardboard boxes.

And yes, the packing peanuts are technically edible, but taste quite bad.

We know because, naturally, someone here had to try one.

We’ll stick to honey.
