Here is a smile from our crew to you! Our two baby goats that have battled pneumonia have made significant progress. With excellent vet care (Dr. Moon!), breathing treatments, lots of love and care they have greatly improved. Both breathed in fluid during the difficult birth and got very sick. Fern even couldn’t walk for more than a week and Iggy hasn’t grown very much but his breathing is so much better and she is starting to hop! Sometimes choices don’t make sense to others but I chose to give these two a chance at life. They have a permanent place here with us.

Scott has been busting his tail getting Lost Prairie Farm back in working order. We began this farm as a homestead when he was active duty Army and it kept growing and changing when he retired from the Army after 20 years and he began driving a truck over the road. The dream changed again as the years passed but we knew we loved the land, growing things and elderberries seemed a good fit. I came home from teaching 2 years ago and we added more to the dream. Now, he has recently come home full time to work on our dream to have an elderberry farm, grow amazing food, leaves the land better than we found it, and share what we love doing with friends and family. Scott has touched every area on the farm and is the implementation of our plans and dreams on the ground. He has fixed more things than I can count and he always gets it done. I am thankful for him and I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish with both of us home full time! We have lots of exciting things in the works and we hope you keep watching what comes next!
