Head out to Highland Acres Homestead tomorrow, August 1st for their grand opening.

We attended their soft opening last week and their coffee and lemonade is delicious, their animals are adorable (you can feed them treats) and produce and beef are amazing!!

They have a lot of activities tomorrow for the whole family and you can take home some Elm Ridge Beef for dinner!!

We will have live music by the amazing Lilly Milford, 2 bounce houses for the kids, a face painter, tons of animal encounters and amazing vendors!

We also have officially launched our full menu and seasonal menu in Mini Moos Coffee & Farmstand! Plus we have locally raised beef & chicken, fantastic fresh milk and ice creams, some delicious pastries, and tons of other handmade breads and jams!

The guys worked hard this weekend building a shade structure for our cows in one of the pastures that doesn't have many trees. I can't say OSHA would be too impressed with some of the "safety measures," but the cows told me they're willing to look the other way. 🪜 🩴 🩳 🤣

I'd say all that hard work was definitely appreciated—the cows wasted no time making themselves comfortable in their new shade! 🐄☀️

We have 1/4 cow available from the beef we picked up from the processor Friday. It’s approximately 85 lbs. Cost is $990

Beef is grass fed, grain finish. Quarters are cut into ribeyes, sirloins, cutlets, roasts, ground beef, hamburger patties and either a brisket or cut tenderloins. You also get soup bones and some organs.

We deliver at no cost to areas around Collin county (can deliver any time this week) and areas around Bell county (can deliver this weekend).

We have some very EXCITING NEWS!!!!

Our individual beef cuts will now be sold daily at Mini Moos Coffee & Farmstead in Belton, Tx.

Go check them out tomorrow, 7/17, for their soft opening. (Grand opening is 7/31). They will have fresh produce, OUR BEEF, and coffee.

Mini Moos is owned by Highland Acres Homestead. We dropped off our very fresh (picked up from processor today) beef and got to hold their baby kangaroo!!! 🦘 (picture for proof)

They will have all steak cuts, roasts, ground beef, pre-formed hamburger patties and more! Go support another local business!!!

The radio just let me know it is national n**e day and national tape measure day…

But also Chick-fil-A told me it is cow appreciation day. That seems like the better one to celebrate, so this post is to appreciate our cows enjoying yesterday’s sunset and some other pics from this week of cow noses.

We found the cows relaxing in the shade this morning in this Texas heat.

When making friends with cows, you have to guard your cow cookies closely, or one will sneak in and steal them all. Joe quickly found out he was no match for a cow that spotted the treats! While they act a lot like giant dog friends, they are definitely a bit stronger. (Sound on)
