This 0% interest loan will help us continue equipping and maintaining our new drivable food truck, allowing Cha Community to bring our drinks, food, and community experiences to more events and neighborhoods. Hi Cha Community! 👋

We recently fully paid off our 2nd Kiva Loan, which we launched a few years ago to help support the opening of our Cha Community 8th St. Waco boba tea cafe and also celebrated 8 years of business this past June! 🎉

We now have the opportunity to re-apply for our 3rd Kiva Loan, again backed by the Tory Burch Foundation (the first was backed by Startup Waco), and we’d love to invite you to participate in the campaign! ✨

If you’re not familiar with Kiva, it’s similar to Kickstarter, but instead of donating or purchasing items, you’re lending money at 0% interest to small businesses like ours. Friends, family, colleagues, and people/organizations around the world can lend as little as $25. It’s not a donation - the loan is repaid by us over 20 months. Because the Tory Burch Foundation is backing this loan, each dollar lent goes even further in helping us reach our goal. $25 lended will become $75 with the partner matching, while funds last! 🤝

Since this is our 3rd Kiva Loan, we have a strong history of fully repaying our previous Kiva loans. This time, we’re raising $15,000 to upgrade, equip, fully stock, and maintain our new Cha Community food truck, which we acquired a few months ago! 🚙🛻

Back to School New Sweet Treat - Releasing Monday 8/17 at all Cha cafes! 📚📓✏️

Sweet Steamed Custard Buns - A Cantonese classic dim sum treat featuring a soft, fluffy steamed bun with a sweet and creamy egg-and-milk custard filling.✨

We can’t wait for y’all to try them soon alongside our other steamed bun and food options! Releasing tomorrow - Monday 8/17 at all Cha Community cafes. Find them during lunch/food service hours at our Downtown Temple cafe - 11am-2pm Mon-Sat, noon-2pm Sun! 🍮🙌

Our matcha lattes are made with matcha, your choice of milk (no added charge for plant-based alternatives!), your choice of syrup/puree/flavor (if desired), and optional toppings! We love matcha so matcha that we have murals at our cafes to honor this refreshing tea! 🍃🫖🍵
