One thing I am really proud of is being able to offer quality meat animals that still represent the breed well.
These guys went to a new meat breeder in the area, and while they may never see a show table, I truly think they could hold their own if their new owners ever decided to show them.
That is exactly why the Standard of Perfection matters, even in meat breeding. Commercial type, depth, width, balance, fur, and overall structure are not just “show rabbit” traits — they are the same traits that make a productive, efficient, useful meat animal.
The goal should never be “just meat rabbits.”
The goal should be good Silver Fox that can also do the job they were originally bred to do. 🖤
