This 2026 black and white filly is currently available and is expected to excel as a trail horse. The cross between Lexie Blue and Jackson has consistently yielded naturally gaited offspring, and this filly is no exception, as evident in the provided collage. She is pending registration with the TWHBEA (TN Walking Horse) and has received handling from birth. By the time she is weaned, she will be halter broke and exposed to various activities. Her expected mature height is 15 hands. Please contact us for further information.

Gracie the Chincoteague Pony and I are learning a new skill together. Many thanks to our friend Lance Spurling for all the help and advice. We didn't know black dog Oggie was following the whole time!

Cool Apache Jackson is a registered 2011 Tennessee Walking Horse stallion known for his exceptional gait, which can be ridden all day. He is a sooty buckskin tobiano, homozygous black and tobiano, and carries a cream gene, ensuring that his foals will only be black or bay-based, always with a tobiano gene. When bred to your mare, Jackson will consistently produce black tobiano, bay tobiano, buckskin tobiano, smokey black tobiano, or potentially double dilute foals if the mare also carries a cream gene. Recent photographs of Jackson, including images of him under saddle on the trail and multiple foals sired by him, are included in this post. Jackson's temperament is sound and even-tempered, traits that are consistently passed on to his foals. He stands at 14.3 hands, and his foals typically range from 15 to 15.1 hands, with some exceeding 16 hands. Jackson's offspring inherit his smooth walk and gait, and he is not known for being high-headed or 'hot'. He is a reliable producer of smooth, gaited, and visually appealing trail companions. The stud fee for Jackson is $500, plus $8 per night for mare care. We offer on-site ultrasound services, and if a mare remains on site 18 days post-breeding, we will provide a complimentary pregnancy check. Mares must be easy to handle, up-to-date on vaccinations, and have a negative Coggins. We only perform hand breeding, and do not offer shipped semen or pasture breeding.

I took a break from working with the young horses and took a beautiful ride on my Paso Fino "60" with friends.

Our little Paso c**t is 12 days old, the black and white TWH filly is 11 days old, and the bay and white TWH filly is 5 days old. I get them up daily or every other day for handling, and they are progressing well. Different personalities call for slightly different approaches. It takes a lot of time, but it is exciting to see them respond a little bit more each day.

These good geldings have not been forgotten with the foal arrivals. The palomino is Maverick, a two-year-old Missouri Foxtrotter, and I rode him for the first time today. He will get a few light rides in the round pen, then will be turned out over the summer before light work starts again in the fall. The Appaloosa is Hawk, a 1/2 Appaloosa and 1/2 Welsh Pony/Quarter Horse cross. His second birthday is in August; he has been saddled and ridden lightly in the round pen. I have been line driving him, and he will drag a small tire before he is turned out for the summer. He will mature between 13 and 14 hands. The smokey cream tobiano is a yearling Tennessee Walking Horse, Scotch. He has been saddled, no riding, just round pen work setting the ground work when he is older and ready for a first ride. The 'brown' boy, Smokey, is actually a sooty buckskin tobiano TWH, a little over 6 months old. He gets ground work in the round pen and has been introduced to bathing and other activities. I don't have working videos, but hope to get some soon. Stay tuned for updates - some of these boys will be available for purchase.

Handling on the foals starts very soon after their arrival. The foal halter is put on and removed several times, legs and feet are rubbed and gently lifted, and of course, lots of rubs in good places!

It's a peaceful foal morning here. It won't be long before they discover one another and start to play, especially when they all move to the bigger pasture.
