The D***s family purchased the historic 9 Mile from the Hindman Family. We are second generation Cattlemen with the third Generation learning an active role. We also run a commercial herd and feed out our own to market all natural steers and heifers. 9 mile is one of the largest ranches in Southeast Washington and northeast Oregon and is Unique as we winter and early spring pasture the deeded gro

und and move all the cows to the mountains for summer. The result is the cows are on pasture all year. This allows us to truly measure the most efficient cows within the program and make better culling decisions as there is no bunk advantage for heavy eaters. 9 Mile uses an extensive A.I. and Embyo program with some of the most prolific donor cows in the breed to produce the most sought after genetics in the west. We understand our western heritage and still do everything horseback at 9 mile ranch.
