Happy mother's Day to all. Four legged or two we are all grateful.

But an extra big shout out to this mama bear.
Delaney is truly incredible, she takes the best care of all her kids individually, she works like crazy, and never says no to anything anybody asks of her, and never asks for anything for herself.

Rainy morning moves for the mamas and babies. A little rain doesn't bother these girls if there is a fresh salad bar on the other side of the fence.

Calling all DIY people. We are doing a little freezer clean out and have some by-products to go.

5-6 big bags of frozen chicken frames and a few bags of chicken organs . We usually save them to make all our chicken stock, but we didn't find the time this year. $30.00 for all

45 lbs of clean pork fat. Great for you deer hunters, soap makers, or somebody to make your own lard.
$60.00 for all

Two boxes of beef organs. Good for people and dogs or cat fish bait. 25.00 for both boxes

Calving season is pretty stressful, but the farm hands breeze through it without a care in the world other than how many cute babies they get to snuggle.

They have to act fast and catch them in the first few hours, after about 3 hours these little guys are pretty quick on their feet.

We started our calving season last week. This morning we had a wonderful surprise of twin calves.

Although twins is a 2 for 1 deal, there can be some challenges along with them. It's not uncommon for the mama to only accept one, or doesn't have enough milk for two calves. So we will be keeping a close eye on these two and hope for the best.

In the second picture the all black calf is a few days older just check out the size difference between twins and singles.

Earlier this month we were fortunate to add a new member to our clan.
Baby Daphne has been welcomed with open arms and full hearts. We are beyond proud of the 3 older kids and the way they love their sister.

That's a wrap on 2025 turkeys, the kids with some cousin help, got the turkeys all loaded up, and they head down the road first thing in the morning.
