Look at this!

Yesterday marked the ribbon cutting of Truckee’s first ever permanent, 16-bed shelter and navigation center. What a turnout! 🤝

We’re so excited for this moment and all the work our dear friend Cathie Foley has done over the years. She’s been the consistent person championing shelter and resources for our neighbors that need it the most.

HeyChef! has shared a portion of our profits toward this effort for more than a decade, and nearly 100% of our staff donate time, goods, or funds. 🧣 We still remember Chef Grog making soup during snow storms when Cathie was spending nights at the basement shelter at Church of the Mountains. 🌨️

Cut to today, with Truckee’s first permanent shelter and navigation center offering abundant resources for those who want to get housed. We’re proud of Cathie, our community and SO happy for those this center will serve! 🏠🧡🩵💚
