We are proud to announce that Local Food Group is partnering with Sunnyside ownership to assume restaurant management operations later this year.

Having launched his Tahoe career as Executive Chef at Lone Eagle Grille more than 25 years ago, Chef Mark Estee returns to the lake to lead the next chapter of one of its most iconic hospitality destinations.

“Sunnyside has earned its place as one of Tahoe’s most iconic gathering places, and we take that responsibility seriously,” said Estee. “While we’re excited about the investments ahead, our approach is rooted in preserving the qualities that made Sunnyside so special. We see our role as caretakers of an incredible legacy, and we’re honored to help write its next chapter.”

The new partnership also marks the beginning of significant investments across the property, including a lodge remodel, expanded private dining, and a larger, upgraded kitchen to elevate our guests’ experience. Together, these investments, along with continued enhancements to the marina and waterfront experience, reflect leadership’s long-term vision for the property guided by its rich history.
