Our plein air Watercolor Classes are always so much fun. Grab a friend and join us for an afternoon painting, laughing, and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors on June 6th from 3pm-5pm.

All skill levels welcome. Our instructor, Mary K Petty, will teach you watercolor techniques and walk you through painting your own masterpiece.

June is coming soon! Here’s a look at what’s happening at the farm especially for you!

Saturday, June 6th - Farm Animal Meet & Greet. Spend the morning with our farm animals and shop for your favorite farm goods in the farm store during this free family friendly event. 10am-Noon.

Saturday, June 6th - Watercolor Painting Class - learn watercolor techniques and paint a strawberry masterpiece in this fun class led by Mary K Petty. All skill levels welcome! Saturday, June 27th - Storytime with Tobey. Bring the kiddos to the farm for a special storytime featuring our friendly rabbit. This free family event is especially great for ages 3-10, but open to all. After storytime, pop into the farm store to snag your favorite farm goodies. Storytime is at 10am. The farm store will be open from 10am-Noon.

Saturday, June 27th - Soapmaking Workshop. If you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at cold process soap, but didn’t know where to start - this workshop is for you! You’ll watch a demonstration, ask all your questions, and then make your own custom loaf of soap. We have been working on something fun to recapture the joy we find in life here at the farm - A COLORING BOOK filled with 40 pages of farm fun!

We have collected our favorite photos and have turned them into coloring pages. The kids approved the final layout this morning and printing has begun!

Coloring books will be available starting June 6th, but to hold you over until then here’s a few pages you can print at home to color. 🙂

Books will be just $5 and are available for pre-order by messaging us here or emailing [email protected]. All proceeds from the coloring books will go directly to the feeding and care of our animals.

It’s strawberry season at the farm and what better way to celebrate than a plein air painting class with our favorite artist, Mary K Petty.

Then head to our farm store in Upland on May 16th to pick up your order. And don’t worry about keeping dates and times straight - HotPlate will send you a reminder when your order is ready to pick up. How handy is that?

They are 25 weeks old, started laying 3 weeks ago. Pasture raised and fed locally grown non-gmo feed. Friendly, healthy, and productive layers.
Asking $18 each or $160 for all 10.

Join us for an afternoon of plein air watercolor painting at Harrison Family Farm led by our favorite artist, Mary K Petty.
You may have admired her paintings in our farm store or at Patent Pending, and now you, too, can paint a masterpiece with her help and guidance. Mary K. will walk you through warm up exercises while you learn the ins and outs of watercolor. Then, use your new skills to paint spring strawberries.

From the artist: “Come experience the joy of playing with watercolor. You’ll bring home a 5x7 matted masterpiece as well as multiple bookmarks and all your creative doodles. Whether you prefer tight realistic artwork or loose and flowing expressions, watercolor gives you the freedom to explore.”

No previous skills needed and all supplies are provided. This class is open to ages 13+.

Class will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 3pm-5pm at Harrison Family Farm in Upland.
