☕🐓 Breakfast Confession
I may have accidentally become the kind of person who has quail eggs on avocado toast for breakfast.
You know… the kind of person who says things like, “These eggs were locally sourced from a small family harvest,” while standing in muddy chore boots and swatting flies.
Today’s breakfast featured:
🥑 Avocado toast on Black Rooster Acres sourdough
🥚 Fresh quail eggs
🍅 Homegrown-style tomato goodness
And honestly? It felt a little fancy. Like if a homesteader won the lottery but still clipped coupons.
The quail eggs came from our friends at Family Harvest (797 North St., Utica, Ohio). If you’ve never tried quail eggs, they’re adorable, delicious, and make you feel like you’re dining at a farm-to-table café instead of standing at your kitchen counter wondering where you left your coffee.
So here’s the plan:
➡️ Stop by Black Rooster Acres and grab your sourdough.
➡️ Head to Family Harvest and pick up some quail eggs.
➡️ Return home and prepare a breakfast that says, “I have my life together,” even if your laundry is currently living in three separate basket - no judgement- mine is too! 🤣
