It’s safe to say that no one was more excited to raise ducks this year than Doll. Herding them, moving them, watching them, staring deep into their little duck souls, Doll’s interest in them never waned. Anytime you weren’t sure where she was, it was a guarantee that she was with the ducks, focused like a laser beam, watching, waiting. Not to judge, she was kind of obsessed. So do right by Doll and all her hard work and come buy a fresh duck this weekend! Maybe you’ll be obsessed, too.

Fresh ducks are in the farm store! This weekend only!

You’ve been asking and we’ve heeded the call. Fresh ducks are back! We raised and processed 50 Pekin ducks just for you, our lovely customers, and today they are ready for you to take home and roast and enjoy and impress your friends with. Can’t say for sure when this will happen again, so take advantage while you can!

Fresh stewing hens, roosters, livers, and hearts are also available now! Supplies are limited, first come, first served!

Happy October, everyone! Fall calving continues, now with the backdrop of bold autumn leaves. Our little fall lambs are now pros at moving from one pasture to the next, Louie the livestock guard dog is as obsessed with his flock as ever, and of course piglets are never not snuggling up and being perfect.

Stop by the farm store this weekend for all the fall things- bone broth, chuck roast, stew meat, shanks, good vibes, etc.

A long, but beautiful week here at Kinderhook Farm. We processed our last batch of meat birds (stew hens coming in October!), our flock of pekin ducks moved from the brooder out to the grass, the youngest lambs got some practice moving from one pasture to the next, cows continue calving, and the geese were everywhere, like really truly everywhere.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the farm this weekend to visit and pick up a fresh chicken! We love you!

Today!! Stop by for a self guided walk-about at Kinderhook Farm. Pancake and her piglets are hanging out next to the store and we have lambs, ducks, cattle, and chickens all around.
